Isabella Evergreen

Isabella felt bad for theodore. That he has to go through it all by himself like she did. She didn't want him to go through it alone, so she told him to come to his dorm later. In the meantime, she was in her dorm reading her book.

"And trust me, love, in my eye so you do.
Dry sorrow drinks our blood. Adieu, adieu."

She heard someone knocking on the door. "Come in." she yelled.

She saw Theodore coming in. "hey." he said to the girl.

"Hey." she smiled. "Everything alright?"

"I just can't get over my parents, y'know. Splitting up." He shrugged.

She moved over to make room on the bed. "Sit. I was just reading." she smiled as he made his way on the bed, laying next to her. "Do you want to talk about it?" she questioned.

He shook his head. "Not right now. I'm still trying to process the how thing."

"It's going to be like that for a while, but you can always talk to me whenever you feel like it." she offered.

"Thanks," he said, looking at her book. "What are you reading?"

She showed him the cover. "Romeo and Juliet." she said.

"Read it to me." he looked at her.

"What?"

"Read it to me," he repeated.

She was shocked. No one has ever asked her to read a book or asked her about her book. He was the first. She felt something unfamiliar in her stomach. "Okay." she nodded.

He got comfortable on the bed and she began to read.

"For never was a story of more woe
Than this of juliet and her romeo"

It was an hour and she finished her book. Her throat was sore and her hands were cramping. She closed the book, looking at the boy beside her soon to find out he was asleep. She looked at him. He looked so peaceful and innocent. His curled hair is messy and his mouth slightly agar.

Isabella sat up carefully and moved her legs off the bed, trying not to wake the boy up. She's always been good at that. Not waking people up. Because she was always sneaking around in her fathers house when he was sleeping.

As she was about to stand she felt a hand wrap around her wrist. "Where are you going?" Theodore said in a sleepy voice.

"I was just getting water from the kitchens." She whispered, turning to look at him. His eyes were already on her with tiredness.

He nodded. "Don't be gone too long." he mumbled, letting go of her wrist.

She nodded in response. After she put her book down, she got up and walked out of her dorm. As she was walking she thought about what Theodore said. Don'tl be gone too long. Why did he say that? Was he worried about her? Did he want to talk to her about his parents? If she asked she would ask he'd probably say that he just didn't want her gone long. That's probably it. right?
