Isabella Evergreen

It was Isabella's last night in the hospital. She was bored out of her mind. She wanted to leave, but of course the doctors won't let her.

Theodore was keeping her company which she liked. He was doing a lot for her in the hospital. He never left her side. And her mother was barely at the hospital.

Isabella felt like her mother and Theodore were hiding something from her. They've been odd for two days. Dodging questions, looking at each other in a weird way, and Mary Ann leaving everyday claiming she has something to do.

Theodore was sitting next to her on her bed as they watched a film. Isabella told Theodore that she loved the Disney film, Beauty and the beast. Theodore wanted to watch it with her, so they watched it on his laptop.

"Please... don't leave me. I love you." was Isabella's favourite line throughout the whole film. She didn't know why, but she liked the quote because it showed both tenderness and mercy. She liked the ending as well. It had a happy ending.

When the movie ended, Mary Ann came into the room after being gone for a few hours. "Hi, my darling." she welcomed.

"Hi, mom." Isabella replied, shutting the laptop that was on her lap. "Where have you been? You've been gone most of the day."

Mary Ann had her back facing her as she stopped what she was doing. "Er- i was shopping for the things we need at home." she said, hesitantly.

Isabella looked at her, confused. "For four hours?"

She heard her sigh. "I have to tell you something." she turned around, looking at her. "But you have to know it's for your own good."

My own good?

"You're going to a mental facility tomorrow. It's an hour outside of town, and it has a nice room for you." she said, trying to sound cheerful.

Isabella looked at her mother in betrayal. "You're making me go there? Again?" she shook her head. "I won't."

"You are." Mary ann satiated.

"No, theo will take care of me." Isabella looked at Theodore with hope. "Right? You can take care of me."

Theodore kept quiet.

"Right?" tears were coming out of her eyes. Please. I don't want to go there again.

"It seems for the best." Theodore agreed with her mother.

Isabella felt betrayed. She thought that he would be the one to take care of her. He said that he would save her. Protect her.

She took the IV out of her arm and the other things that were attached to her body, got off the bed and left the room. She heard the nurses calling after her but she was still sped walked out of the hospital.

Isabella wasn't watching where she was going and bumped into someone. Fortunately someone she knew.

"Oh, hello isabella."
