Isabella Evergreen
It's been a few weeks since Isabella and Theodore met on the rooftop. She was ignoring him. Not showing up to their meets for the little project, dodging him in the halls, and staying in her dorm or katherines.
She felt uncomfortable when Theodore asked her what she was afraid of. She didn't like talking about her feelings to anyone. Not even Katherine. She would always act fine with everyone, but when she's alone. She would wish she'd never been born. Sometimes she wishes that she could just crawl up her mothers wound and never come out.
She thought about it. Tying a rope to the ceiling and choking herself as the rope is around her neck until she cant breath. She was always inches away from doing it but she always thought about her mother at her funeral crying and wishing she caught the signs that were never there.
"You have to eat." Katherine said, looking at isabellas untouched plate full of food.
"Not hungary." She's been playing with her food for fifteen minutes now, allowing the food to rot. "I have to go to my dorm anyway. Study." She got up with her plate of food and threw it away in the trash can.
As she was walking away from the hall, she heard someone calling her name and calling after her. "Isabella, wait."
She sighed, "what." she said coldly.
"Why have you been dodging me?" Theodore questioned.
"I don't have time for this, I have to go." Isabella fastened her pace to leave him behind, but he caught up with his long legs.
Damn you short legs.
"Look if i've upset you, im sorry alr-"
She turned and looked at him. She snapped. "What can you get through that thick head of yours? Huh? For the hundredth time, I don't want your bloody pity! Don't you get it? I don't want it!" the boy looked at her, blankly. "If you want to pass the assignment I'm sure you can pay someone to do it for you, because I don't want to work with you anymore, you stubborn git."
As she was about to leave him, he spoke, "my mums leaving my dad." he blurted. "I was going to tell you on the rooftop but you left so quickly and I know your parents are split."
Isabella looked him in the eye. He wasn't lying. His eyes were glossy and his lips were quivering. She hugged him. "I'm so sorry. This must be so hard for you." she cooed.
"I- I just don't know what to do." he stuttered.
"You can't do anything at the moment, Theodore." she said with her cheek against his chest. She hadn't realized how tall he was until now. He was at least six foot. As she was hugging him she also realized he smelt like honey and men's shampoo.
She pulled away from Theodore and looked at him, "I have to do something now, but later you can come to my dorm and we can talk about it, okay?"
He nodded yes in response and let go of her. "Thank you." he smiled and walked back to the hall.
