Theodore Scott
Theodore changed his mind about Isabella going to the facility last minute. Theodore knew he couldn't help her on his own, so he thought the facility would be best. After Isabella ran off Theodore, and the nurses followed after her, but of course, she was too fast.
Theodore and Mary Ann went to look for Isabella separately. Theodore went by walking, and Mary Ann drove. Theodore looked around the outside of the hospital, then walked down the street. Theodore looked in the cafés, in the shops, everywhere he could think of, but he couldn't find her.
"You're not looking hard enough." the voice in his head said.
"What do you mean, I've looked everywhere." he said back to the voice.
"And you say you love her." the voice sighed.
"I do."
"When did you fall in love with her?" it asked.
Theodore thought for a moment. He didn't really know when he
did, but it was when they were with each other at school. He first started to like her on the rooftop. When they first started to get to know each other by two truths and one lie. That's when he found out that she likes butterflies. Theodore hasn't forgotten about that.
"Ugh, you're going to make me vomit." the voice groaned.
"You can't vomit, you're in my head, you twat." he rolled his eyes.
Forgetting he was in public, a woman with a little boy by her side gave Theodore a dirty look, thinking Theodore rolled his eyes at her.
The voice snorted, "nice going, you twat" the voice mocked, which made him roll his eyes again.
Then Theodore remembered the one place he didn't look. The school. He thought that's where she could be. He started walking there. The school wasn't far from where Theodore was previously, so it was a pretty short walk because of how tall he was.
As soon as Theodore walked inside the school, he walked towards the dormitories. He didn't stop walking until he got to her door. He got to the door and tried to open the door. The door wouldn't budge. He knocked on the door, saying her name. "Isabella? Are you in there?" he asked, now banging on the door.
Déjà vu, déjà vu, déjà vu.
He'd done this before. This was making him think of the day he and Mary Ann found her in the bathroom, barely making it alive to the hospital. Now, he's doing the exact same thing to the door he's banging on, hoping that he won't find her unconscious again.
His pulse is racing now. "Please, Isabella," he said, loudly through the door. "Open the door." he's banging on the door now, not caring if anyone comes out and yells at him. He had to get the door open. He had to do something, anything that would get him through that door. He stopped banging on the door, looking side to side, thinking of what to do. Katherine. She probably had an extra key to Isabella's door. Theodore walked to the right of Isabella's door and sped to her dorm.
His pulse was racing, his hands were shaking and now full of sweat. He was scared that if he didn't make it in time to go through that door, Isabella wouldn't have made it to the hospital so lucily. He needed Isabella alive. Mary Ann needed her daughter alive.
Once he made it to Katherine's door, he saw the door wasn't closed all the way, and he heard people talking. He heard Katherine, and maybe lucas? And? Theodore sighed, thankfully,
he heard Isabella's voice as well. His pulse went down quickly as soon as he heard her voice. She's okay.
He opened the door quietly, looking at the three on the bed.
Isabella was hugging Lucas, he was hugging her back. "If they don't stop by the time I come back, I'll batter them," he heard Isabella say as Lucas pulled away.
Katherine turned her head towards them, "By the time you come back? Where are you going?" Katherine asked, looking confused.
"We're going to my dads for a while." Theodore lied, announcing himself to the small group of people, making Katherine and Lucas look at him. Not Isabella. She sat still on the bed, not looking at him.
"What are you doing here?" Katherine asked sharply.
"I came for Isabella. We have to pack to go to my dads." Theodore lied again, ignoring katherines saltiness.
Katherine looked at Isabella now, "when are you leaving?" she asked.
Isabella looked at Katherine, avoiding theodore. "Tomorrow." she said, hesitantly. "I'll- we'll be leaving tomorrow."
Katheine didn't say anything much after that.
Theodore put his hand on the doorknob, "we have to go, bella"
theodore said, with his back against the door.
Isabella had finally looked at him, but when she looked at him, he looked her in the eyes, and he didn't expect her to look at him like that. He expected her to look at him with happiness and delight. Instead, he got sadness and hurt.
"Yeah." Isabella said, coldly, getting off the bed and walking to the door. Just as she was about to walk out, she turned to look at katherine. "I almost forgot," she said. "Kat? Do you still have the extra key I gave you? I've lost mine."
Katherine nodded, "yeah." She got up from the bed and walked over to her dresser, picking up the key that goes to Isabella's door.
She tossed the keys to Isabella and she caught them. "Thanks," Isabella said, "I'll see you both when I come back." She turned on her heel and walked out of the room.
Theodore said his goodbyes and closed the door. He looked up to see Isabella glaring at him. "What?" he said, cluelessly.
"You're a liar." she shook her head. "You said you'd be there for me. No matter what." her eyes were getting glossy.
Theodore reached in and hugged her. "I am and I will." he said, kissing the top of her head. "I just need you to go to the facility for a few days and I will take you out. Then I'll take you to my dads." he half lied. He didn't know what to do for her in this state. She was too vulnerable now.
Isabella looked at him. "Swear to it. Please. I need you to swear that you will take me out." tears were coming out of her eyes now.
Theodore laid his hand on her cheek, kissing her forehead. "I swear."
