Chapter 12

SAMSON interrupted an important meeting to see Zach because he badly wants to talk to him. Hindi na makapaghintay pa si Samson ng ilan pa na oras upang makausap ito.

He just barged in to the conference room while someone was on her presentation and everyone inside was surprised by his sudden visit.

"Mr. Yu, what a pleasant surprise to have you here." Ani ng isang board of members na tuwang-tuwa na makita siya.

Samson didn't take a glance of that person and went straight to Zachariah who's also shocked to see him there.

"We need to talk." Seryoso at may riin na saad ni Samson sa kaibigan at lumabas na rin pagkatapos.

Naguguluhan man si Zach sa inaasta ni Samson bagamat sumunod pa rin siya rito upang alamin kung ano ang pakay sa kaniya ng kaibigan niya.

They reached the silent area and it's a matter of chance that someone will go there and can hear them.

"What's this sudden weirdness of yours, Samson?" tanong ni Zachariah sa kaniya.

Bagamat tiningnan ng mariin ni Samson ang kaibigan na matagal na siyang niloloko at binibilog. Tinitingnan niya ito ng mariin at hindi niya maatim na kaya siya nitong tingnan sa mga mata na para bang wala siyang tinatago.

"I will ask you one question, Zachariah. I want you to answer me with the truth," sagot niya kay Zachariah.

Seryoso ang boses ni Samson at mariin na nakatingin sa mga mata nito.

"What is it? Go ahead. I don't have much time. I still have to go back to that meeting since it's very urgent." The latter said not really minding about Samson's seriousness.

"Nasaan si Rania?" Direktang tanong ni Samson kay Zach na hindi agad nakareact sa itinanong niya.

Gulat ang namutawing reaksyon sa mukha ni Zachariah sa tanong na iyon bagamat agad din naman siyang nakabawi.

Hilaw na natawa si Zach at tinapik ang balikat ni Samson.

"Ano bang klaseng tanong 'yan, Samson? Siyempre nasa..."

"Iyong totoo, Gonzales. Nasaan si Rania ngayon? Bakit mo 'ko pinaglalaruan ng ganito? Bakit mo sinabing patay na siya gayong buhay naman pala siya!" Pagputol ni Samson sa dapat na sasabihin no Zachariah at sabay singhal niya rito.

"Ano ba 'yang pinagsasabi mo, Samson? Nasisiraan kana ata ng bait." Ani Zach at tatalikuran na sana ito ngunit nagsalita na naman ulit si Samson.

"I know she's alive. You will regret every bit of lie you spit on my face, Zachariah."

After that, Samson left Gonzales' building with rage. Honestly, he's not mad at Zach or anyone else but himself. He's blaming himself why it happened and he can somehow understand why he did it only to protect his sister.

But one thing on Samson's mind is that, why does Rania acts as if she doesn't really know him at all? Is she pretending? Or there's something he needs to know about her? Will he have to investigate what happened years ago?

Palaisipan pa rin para kay Rania ang lalaking sumalubong at umakap sa kaniya sa restaurant noong nakaraan.

She has been nerve wracking her brain to remember the guy but it's hard for her to remember him or if she even know him.

It's a big question for Rania ang her identity about that guy. She doesn't know how to explain it but she felt like he is somewhat a big piece missing in her life.

It's very unusual to feel that way with someone you accidentally meet and you feel that kind of connection that draws you in along with him. That's why Rania wanted to know who he is and what part is he in her life.
