"Are you insane?" May asked in disbelieve turning to Jemma quickly. I looked at her defensive reaction confused.

"It's the only way we can reach her memories in time before her powers have destroyed her nervous system," Jemma said and May looked at her silently in disbelieve.

"Tahiti me? I mean... it sounds nice..." I said softly and sarcastically making Jemma sigh.

"You will be placed in a machine that can take you to every memory in your brain, even if you don't remember when," she explained and I was still confused.

"Okay but it still doesn't sound bad," I said and May looked at me almost warning me to accept this.

"From everyone we know who's been in there, they reacted heavily to the process, it... hurts," Jemma said again and I chuckled.

"I did it before, not with a machine but with magic, I know it's not nice and yeah painful maybe, but I'm still trying it," I said and they looked at me silently and Jemma was curious about what I said with magic, it was funny to see her face like that.

"We can't tell you how you're going to react," May said softly. "Listen, I get memories back every time I close my eyes, it's either doing this to maybe cure my ass or I'm getting them anyway when I need sleep," I said dryly

May and Jemma exchanged looks and she nodded and walked away from the room. Jemma put some fluids in the IV shit and looked at me smiling softly but I could sense her concern.

"So when are we doing it?" I asked and she looked disappointedly surprised. "You need to heal first," She said and I smiled.

"I'm going to be healed tonight, so when?" I asked her again. "I'll see for myself when you're healed," she said softly almost telling me to stay in bed like a child. "Okay," I said softly giving in and she gave a soft smile.

5 hours later it was later in the evening and people stopped working and just did their thing. I was on my phone watching my documentary while I ate some noodles.

"Glad you're eating something," Andrew said walking in when I was just putting the box away and I groaned.

"I'm not here for a deep conversation," he said and I chuckled putting off my phone. "So, what else brings you here?" I asked him curiously while he stood in front of the bed looking at me as his fingers clenched around the steel of the bedframe.

"I just wanted to see if you needed anything," he said and I sighed. "Nah, I'm good," I said dryly and he smiled.

"If you wouldn't care for a moment that you hate getting help, what would you want?" he asked again and I groaned disappointedly.

"You said not a deep conversation," I said dryly and he chuckled. "I'm just asking something," he said. "That's manipulation," I said but he didn't respond and just smiled.

"A cup of tea would be nice," I said softly and he smiled walking away from me not saying another word. A moment later he walked in with a mug with hot tea making me smile as I took it. I thanked him and he just nodded and left me alone again.

Jemma walked in and looked at the things on the monitors and looked at me while she prepared to put something in the tube connected to my arm again.

"So, how deep do you want to sleep?" she asked smiling. "Rather not at all," I said dryly and she looked at me surprised.

"What? no, you need enough sleep," she said but I stayed silent. "Why?" she asked more softly looking at me curiously.

"I was out for eight hours already, I have enough sleep," I said dryly again. "Being unconscious is not sleep," she started rambling but she gave me a lecture on why I should sleep.
