I skipped dinner and went straight to my room, ignoring my empty protesting stomach.

I wasn't in a mood to eat and for some reason, my head hurt like hell and I was drained from just sitting down and listening to women give lectures on the methods of punishing, medicine, plants and letter writing. It was plain boring but what was I to do?

I opened my door, not noticing that it was already slightly opened, and stumbled blindly into the room. With my eyes half close, I didn't pay attention to the other living thing in my room and that was a slip I unconsciously made.

Stumbling blindly to my bed, I stubbed my toe and was about to drop my heavy body on the bed except someone stopped me from doing so by holding me up, preventing me from falling onto the bed. Releasing my toe, I opened my eye and winced at the sharp pain in my head.

My vision soon cleared up and I could see the guy who was holding me. Recognizing him as Beta Zedekiah, I quickly pushed him away from me and he, being caught off-guard, released me without hesitating and I fell on a floor with a thud.

"What a graceful way for a Luna," a familiar cold voice commented and I widened my eyes as I realised who else was in the room.

Hurried, I push myself off the floor using the palms of my hands and dusted my skirt. With a lowered head, I retreated to a far end corner, away from her and Beta Zedekiah. Stupid me, thinking I could reap the rewards without facing the consequences.

"Sorry," I muttered and allowed the shadows to cover me. "So, you're looking for me for?"

"Come over here," Beta Zedekiah instructed. "Genevieve isn't going to bite you. She's a friend of Alpha Malachi and she just wants to talk."

Reluctantly, I took once last glance at the floor beneath me and walk towards the both of them. "What do you want to talk to me about?"

She remain silent and Beta Zedekiah nudged her, tilting his head in my direction. She glared and huffed but turned towards me with just as much elegance, her narrowed eyes falling upon me. I could feel her eyes judging me and I resisted the urge to squirm and crawl away from her.

"What's your objective?" she questioned, wasting no time to get to the point which startled me. "Why are you here? What's your goal, your aim...what are you planning?"

"I...don't understand where you're going?" I said uncertainly, my eyes flicking to the door-an exit, beckoning me to it. "I don't have anything planned."

Losing her regal posture, she stood up and threw her hands up in the air, giving her dark intense glare. "You, I," she said, stumbling over her words and losing her cool. "I can't read your actions. I don't have a clue on what you're thinking. Who are you?"

Against my conscience screaming at me not to, I took a hesitant step back to try and place some distance between a now hysterical woman who might be planning to murder me. My eyes darted towards Beta Zedekiah, trying to decipher his next action but he wasn't here.
