I dreaded the moment I had to fully open my eyes and once I did, Alpha Malachi was by my side in a blink of an eye.

"What's this?" Alpha Malachi asked, the silver tube dangling in the air.

I blinked my eyes and slowly pushed myself up in a sitting position. I would've expected to be in a hospital but it seems like Alpha Malachi has other ideas. I didn't recognise the room I was in but I didn't care because my eyes were trained on the thing Alpha Malachi has in his hand.

"Where did you get that?" I question despite the oncoming headache, trying not to sound panicky. "I didn't know these stuff exists. Shouldn't you know what it is?"

His eyes narrowed at me and he walked towards me, each step warning me not to lie to him. "I found this near your bag outside the border. How did you get this?"

"I don't know!" I said, throwing my hands up to make it look more convincing.

From the look he has been giving me, I don't think he believes what I'm saying. Time to pull the guilty card. "You never believe anything I say but you expect me to believe every single thing you say. You weren't going to marry Michelle, yeah right. I bet that was a last minute decision, am I right?"

He stopped walking and his shoulders sagged. He didn't look like he was going to kill me; he looked guilty. "Don't change the subject," was all he said, casting a pleading look at me. "What did you want the silver for? To kill me?"

I tried to say something, to tell him that I never thought of killing him, but nothing came out and he took it as a silent confirmation. He came towards me, forcing me to hold the syringe, and pressed the needle near his vein.

I was shocked at how fast this conversation had turned from him asking about the silver, me asking about Michelle to him accusing me of wanting to kill him and now is plunging the syringe into his wrist, forcing me to hold the syringe.

"Go ahead," he tells me, placing my thumb on the plunger. "Press it. Kill me if that's going to make you happy, if you're going to continue living only when I'm dead."

I didn't press it, staring at him with disbelief. He shut his eyes and press his thumb against mine, slowly inserting the silver into his body. I snapped out from my dazed moment and wrestled my hand from his grasp.

I pulled the needle out of his wrist in a rush, causing it to break his skin, and threw on the ground. I slapped him hard across his face. "How dare you do such a thing? Accuse me of wanting to kill you?" I yell out, able to form the words I've been wanting to say.

"You, you kept quiet. How was I suppose to know?" he yelled back, his other hand putting pressure on his bleeding wrist. "I'm not a bloody mind reader."

"My wolf," I said, my tone laced with anger, "told me that the silver would only kill her. I wanted to start anew without being a werewolf, without this life. You were, after all, going to marry the lovely Michelle Hans."

"Could you stop calling Michelle that way?" he asked, sounding a little annoyed. "Obviously, you don't have a good relationship with your wolf. You can't life without a wolf when you're born with one."
