I saw flashes of my father from different memories.

All them held a similar characteristic; none of them were pleasant. Sometimes, I wasn't even sure if the event had happened but even if didn't, they cut deep. I would find him yelling at me for something I don't recall doing but felt that I was in the wrong, that what he was saying is true.

Each time the situation changes, I wouldn't even realise that it was a different matter that I had let him down. In a second he would be 5 feet away from me, looking at me with disgust and then next, his hands would encircle my neck in attempt to cut off my breaths.

My body wasn't mine to control either; my feelings weren't entirely mine, the words that slipped pass my lips were scripted and my actions were predestined. It felt like there was a cage around me, restricting my actions and it made me feel so frustrated I could feel the irritated beats of my heart against my ribs.

This time it flashed into a dark room that wasn't lit at all. My vision was blinded but I saw him walking towards me with the same mischievous grin on his face. I couldn't move myself from the position I was in and was only able to watch helplessly as he pulled out my silver knife from behind him.

He wasn't going to yell or scare me into thinking he was going to kill me but ends up not doing it. It looked like he really was going to end me and there was no escaping it. His slow steps taunted me, played with my fear like a sadistic person.

"Are you ready?" he said slowly as he crouched in front of me.

In respond, my heart beat increased but adrenaline didn't surge through me. I was panicking but every survival instinct was turn off. There wasn't a flight or fight respond; only fear and the want to please that settled in me.

Slowly, I nodded unwillingly as he raised the knife and traced it over the thin layer covering my racing heart, making it beat even faster. I gritted my teeth, anticipating for the knife to forcefully pierce through the thin layer and make its way into my skin, effectively puncturing my heart.

I could feel the drops of sweat rolling down my arms, making me feel even more sick. In my mind, I picture myself trashing, trying to get the knife away, but what I had imagined didn't transfer into the current situation. I still laid obediently under the subject of an object that was going to end my life.

He smiled even wider as he placed pressure onto the knife and I heard the material of my shirt rip open. It wasn't long until I felt the cold tip of the knife gently pressing against my skin, torturing me with the sharp end.

Before I could blink my eyes, it opened my skin forcefully and went straight through my heart before I could manage out a scream. The pain engulfed me but it brought back the control to me and I squirmed uncomfortably as he took the knife out of me.

"Excalibur!"

My eyes were no longer open and were shut tight as I let out a whimper while clutching my chest, silently hoping the pain would fade away. I shifted a bit, trying to get the pain to go away but it never worked.
