I counted the number of times Alpha Malachi passed by my door today and this time marked the fourth.

I didn't know if he was doing it on purpose but I know that he still didn't trust what I had told him yesterday. The food outside the door was tempting and my stomach growled in agreement. However, I couldn't take it as the only way I could get out of the room was by giving Alpha Malachi what he wants.

It was another way he was torturing me into telling him the 'truth'. I didn't get why he didn't trust me; after all, he was the only one who was constantly lying. I don't recall lying to him so his distrust in me is unreasonable.

Well, I shouldn't be complaining much, right? After all, he just confined me to my room and not that dark place he took me to. My stomach growled again and my eyes unconsciously darted towards the door, where Alpha Malachi stood still behind it.

Giving into my hunger, I walked towards the door and rested my hand on the knob. I willed my wrist to turn it but my wrist didn't budge at all. There was a force keeping it still and unmoving. As hard as I tried to force it to twist the knob open, it wouldn't do as I wished.

"Malachi," I called out with slight frustration, completely forgetting to call him by his title but I was to hungry to care. "Please open the door."

"Have you made your choice?" he answered back, his voice slightly muffled by the object between us.

"Yes," I replied with no hesitation or thought. It didn't occur to me that I had no idea what I said yes to until the knob twisted beneath my grip.

I released the knob and took a few steps back to give Alpha Malachi some space to walk in. Also for me to take a good look at what I had gotten myself into. There wasn't any difference in the way he looked; no hint of any imperfections or anything that has been disturbing him.

After a moment passed, he glance at me uncertainly and said, "So?"

I blinked and shook my head, snapping out of the trance he had on me. I didn't know what was wrong with me or what had me stare at him like I've never seen him before. What were we talking about anyways?

"So...I have an answer for you."

He shut the door and shuffled through the room. "And that will be?"

"Uhm." I bit my lip and look at the floor. "Could you refresh my memory on what I was suppose to choose?"

He looked at me with disbelief. "Are you saying you forgot why you're locked up in this room?"

"I-I..." I trailed of uncertainly and fear constricted my chest.

He winced as he caught me looking at the floor instead of him. "Nevermind, just, have you made your decision? Forget about the rebels, forget about everything. What do you want to do?"

"What do I want to do?" I asked, my voice soft and my tone, worried.

"I'm sorry. I probably should've given you something to eat before I asked you. Uhm, I'm sorry for locking you up here and..." he said in a rushed, looking flustered.

His eyes met mine in hesitation; his lips moving but no sound was made. "I don't know...if you want to listen to my, uh, explanation. But, I'm sorry and I know that I'm wrong by locking you up."
