I couldn't get the scene out of my head, no matter how hard I tried.

Neither could I feel asleep without my questions haunting me or the constant reminder which will be followed by fear for what will happen to me. Why was he messing around with another girl when he had a mate? How was he able to get away from it? How long has he been with another girl?

Was my mate doing the same as he?

Frustrated and restless, I tossed again in my bed, trying to find a new comfortable position. I jumped out of bed when I heard a familiar knock on the door. A soft knock that you can barely hear that is followed by a louder knock.

My fingers twitched as I purposefully slowly walked to the door. I knew it was Luna Genevieve standing outside my newly repaired door, waiting for me to open it. Does she have the right to know ro would I die before I could tell her?

My hand rested on the cold knob for a few seconds before I squeezed it, encouraging myself, and twisted. I felt my eyes widen as I took in Luna Genevieve's current state. She was holding herself up by supporting her body weight on the door frame, her hair messed up in a disheveled state with her right hand clutching the material of her shirt.

I noticed it was right above where her heart should be and I felt the guilt ran through my veins. Trying subtly gulp, I step aside to allow her to come in, keeping my mouth shut so I wouldn't comment that she was no longer as prim and proper as she always carried herself as.

Sticking my head into the hallway, I looked around to check if there was anyone around at this hour and softly shut the door when I didn't see anyone. Instead of making me way to my bed where Luna Genevieve was currently seated at, I stood at the door with my eyes away from her.

"Where," she said, panting, "is the tree-house you promised?"

"Oh," I answered nervously and focused all of it to my fingers that were fidgeting. "It is somewhere near my house but I can't tell you specifically where. From my house, walk straight until you reach this big patch of brown. It is on one of the trees, hidden from sight, so look out for the ladder."

"Okay," she answered, not looking at me as she shut her eye in pain.

"Are you okay?" I said in a careful voice which made her snap up to look at me with accusing eyes.

She sized me up and said, "You know something."

This sentenced cause my heart rate to beat faster and I tried my best to not break the eye contact, knowing it would give myself away. "What are you hiding?" she asked, pressing on the subject.

"Nothing," I answered in a straight voice and shook my head. "I don't know anything."

"You gave me the false location, didn't you?" she accused and I quickly shook my head.

"No! The location is correct, I swear. My mother's death is affecting me so please forgive me," I told her and finally lowered my head, hoping to convince her.
