I stood in my knee length black dress with a bouquet lilies in my hand.

The wind was blowing hard on this cold wet morning which suited the atmosphere of the event. I stayed silent as my eyes observed everything, taking in everything. This would soon turn into one of the memories that will haunt me every night when I try to sleep.

It was about 5 in the morning and the sun was nowhere to be seen, just like everyone else. It didn't make any difference to me that I was alone in this wide meadow, only accompanied by a stage that reminds me today has come and there's no running away from it.

On the stage were two long wooden rods standing upright with 4 long strands of ropes attached to them. This wasn't the first execution I attended; I was brought when my grandfather was executed 18 years ago. During that time, my mother had covered my eyes but now, it was her that will be up there with me to decide if I should cover my eyes or not.

Things have already some this far; the worst of worst has happened. Yet, I had a feeling that there was more to come. I couldn't mess up more; maybe with both of my parents dead, nothing will tether me to my emotions any longer.

The only reason why I failed when I tried to shut off every emotions I had was because of the loving bond between my parents that had been there before I was born. Once their both dead, I wouldn't have the need to please anyone or hope that things will go back to the way before. Destroying that will shut me down and I'll become the person I wished to become.

The one with no heart. Unaffected by everything. Invincible.

So, here I am. To personally watch my mother die in front of my eyes the same way my dad did so it'll get into my thick skull that they're never coming back. There isn't any way for me to deny that they're gone if I saw them leave with my own eyes.

There was nowhere I could go right now. If I were to retreat back into my room, who knows what Alpha Malachi might do. He could lock me up in there or knock me out unconscious. That cannot happen at any cost.

As it started to drizzle light, I extended my arm to allow the rain drops to prickle my arm. I stood there, basking in the cold wind and rain drops, not making any move to look for shelter. Time chose to tick by slowly this time like the universe was helping me commit this day into my memory by playing it out slowly.

I watched as the sun rose up, scaring away the dark sky. I watch as the stars disappear and the moon going along with them. I couldn't help but think that I will watching the time my mother will be released from this earthly prison the same way I was watching the night change into day.

Like it was a random day I chose to go out and actually watch how it transverse from day and night. A random day my mother was sentenced to leave the ground permanently. Both important to me but bearing no deep significance.

I didn't feel bored just standing there, staring into nothingness. The academy had surprisingly cancelled all the classes today, giving us some free time. Though, I knew they wanted everyone to watch them punish my mother for something she didn't do.

Soon enough, people started to appear from random places. No one dared to approach or try to make a small talk either; they kept their distance from me. As far as I know, I was the only one wearing black and acting as if this 'event' is a funeral.
