*Maggie's POV*My daily six o'clock alarm clock started to go off the next morning and I groaned, and by alarm clock I mean Mia. I slid the pillow out from under my head and slammed it down on Glenn's face.
"It's your turn," I mumbled and turned over to get comfortable under the covers again.
He put his face into his pillow with a sigh. "No, it's your turn, I did it yesterday," his muffled voice replied. I picked up my pillow again and hit his face over and over again.
"Ow!" Emmie said and shot up. She grabbed the pillow and hit my face with it.
"Sorry Em," I laughed.
"Will someone please stop that damn baby from crying?!" Dylan said from his sleeping bag on the ground.
Emmie threw my pillow down onto Dylan. "It's your turn now, Dylan," she said and smiled at him, earning a glare back. "And you can take me out there while your at it." Emmie jumped up on one leg and got on Dylan's back as he got Mia.
Once the door was shut I felt Glenn's arms wrap around me as his stomach pressed against my back. "Alone at last," he mumbled into my neck.
"Where's Harper?" I reached my arm behind me and ran my fingers through his black hair.
There was a short moment of silence before he replied, "With Judith and Landon in the living room."
"Well then we are alone." I smirked. His fingertips lightly brushed over my bare arms, sending chills down my spine. I laced my fingers with his and lightly left a kiss on each one of his knuckles. "I love you," I whispered.
His warm lips brushed over my neck before he murmered, "Not as much as I love you."
I turned to the other side to face him, our noses almost touching. "Ya know.....I'm worried about Emmie's ankle. At some point we are gonna have to run and she can't run right now." My voice cracked a bit from being worried.
"Hey." His soft fingertips brushed the strands of hair out of my face and tucked them behind my ear. "We will deal with that when we get there, if we get there. You need to relax though, enjoy this moment." I found myslef getting lost in his chocolate brown eyes as he leaned forward so our lips were barely touching. "Now kiss me."
I did just that as soon as he said it. The second our lips connected I felt better, safer. His hand slowly snaked around my leg thigh and he lifted it up, gently placing it on his waist. He leaned in more so he was hovering over me, an inch from my face. "You and our family are the best thing that has ever happened to me," she said softly, making me smile and turn about ten different shades of red. He lightly kissed both of my cheeks before there was a knock on the door.
Glenn laid back down on the bed as if we had been sleeping this whole time. "Come in."
It was Noah. "We are leaving," he said briefly. I gave him a nod before he shut the door.
I started to get up and pack my bags quickly. As I reached for the doorknob I felt glenn lightly take my hand in his. "Wait, I have someone for you." He turned my hand over and placed something in it, reminding me of the time he proposed back at the prison. I slowly I curled my fingers from around the object to reveal a silver heart necklace. I flipped the heart over to see what was engraved on it.
The love of my life.
I felt a huge smile creep across my face and I pulled him towards me, pressing a long kiss on his lips.
"Thank you," I said and he rested his head on my shoulder.
My hand started to get tangled in his hair as his lips left a small trail of kisses all up my neck and to my ear. "My beautiful wife," he said against my skin. I turned around so glenn could put the necklace on me.
Of course the moment was ruined by another knock on the door.
"We will be right there!" I called out and grabbed what was left of my stuff after those men took everything. "Come on, let's go." I lightly kissed his cheek and headed for the door.
