[Lukes POV]

The next day, Saturday, was definitely a weird one. For one Alex was the first one in the studio, which never happens, usually I'm the first one there. Except the one time Tegan was there but the point is her. She wasn't at the studio. At all. Like sure we all know she's been very tired lately, but no matter how burned out she's been and how much she's been working, but playing was always what she told us made her feel better. The guys told me to chill and that she probably just need some time to catch up on sleep, which I guess could be the case but I wasn't to sure.

The next day, nothing. She didn't show up again. Every day, every weekend we were at the studio. It was weird she wasn't there two days in a row. Once again the guys told me to brush it off and give her time, as she was probably just exhausted. But something was telling me other wise. When I passed her house on my way home, The gate was shut, as it usually is, but this time her dads fancy car was either gone, or stowed away in the garage, and all the windows that I could see were covered by blinds.

Weird.

I was going to try and be polite and knock on the door just to see if she was home. But the gate had a padlock on it.

Even weirder.

Her dad already doesn't seem to like me, and hoping their picket fence probably wasn't going to make him dislike me any less so I figured I check up on her at school the next morning.

In between first and second hour, I could see Bobby and Reggie at Reggies locker and I went up to talk to them.

"Guys, I really think something is going on." I said.

"What do you mean?" Bobby asked.

"I see Tegan almost every day on the  way to school, and I see her at her locker every single day before first hour without fail. And I haven't be able to find her all day." I explained.

"I think I have to agree with Luke this time. We know she wouldn't miss school unless she was dying" Reggie said.

"You three have third hour with her right?" Bobby asked. We both nodded, "maybe you just missed her this morning, hopefully she's there." He said with hopefulness in his voice. I shook my head. We all knew she wasn't here. And so far it looks like I'm the only one who could tell something was going on.

"She's not here today either?" Alex asked coming over to my desk in third hour before class. I shook my head.

"That's weird isn't it." I asked. Alex nodded. "It's not like her to, A, miss both Saturday and Sunday, the B, not come to school."

"Maybe we should go by her house, make sure she's alright." Alex suggested.

"I already went by this weekend." I said.

"Did you see her?" He asked.

"Nope." I shook my head. "The gate has a padlock on it, I figured jumping the fence to go to the front door probably wasn't the best idea."

"Yeah I'd have to agree." He said. "Wait you mean they put a padlock on a picket fence?" I nodded. "That's weird to you too right?"

"Definitely." I replied. "I pass by her street on the way to my house from school, I guess I can check again."

"So she really isn't here today?" Reggie asked joining us. Alex and I both nodded.

"I pass by her street on my way home so I'm going to stop by and see if she's there." I said. The final bell rang and she guys went back to there seat as I glanced back over my shoulder at where she usually sits.
