 (Tegan's POV)

"Hey," I tapped Luke's shoulder in our history class. "Can I ask you something?"

"Choir room?" He asked after turning around in his chair.

"Actually, that wasn't what I was going to ask." I chuckled. "But we should do that too. But I was going to ask what you're doing after practice today?"

"Do you need me?" He asks again.

"Maybe."

"Then I'll cancel my plans." He smiled.

"You didn't have any plans did you?" I ask.

"No. No, I didn't." He admits. "But I would cancel them if I had any. What's up?"

"I'll tell you the rest later." I said. "I don't want to talk about it in class. But... If you want to hang in the choir room, I'll be there."

"Maybe I will be too." Then he turned back around to avoid our teacher scolding us for talking.

"C'mon." Luke says to me as we were both settled into two chairs that were facing each other. Each holding one of the schools guitars. I was slowly strumming the 'Never Be' melody. "Somethings bugging you. What's up?"

"I was wondering if you could stay at the studio with me tonight?" I ask, stopping my guitar strumming. "I could stay by myself. But I think It would be better if you were there."

"Yeah, yeah of course I can." He nods. "But why? You always get on my for staying there because it's 'cold' and 'not safe'."

"Because it's not." I laughed. "But..."

"What is it?"

"The night after the restaurant show, we came home to my dad in the living room." I sighed.

"What?" He asks.

"I know. I know." I said. "It's been so weird at home now that he's back. Nothings happened, but I'm scared something might. I just need a break. Figured you'd be a good person to take it with."

"Of course I will." He says. "If you ever need to go somewhere, you know which windows mine."

"Thanks."

"I guess it's good we came in here, because before we go to rehearsal tonight, I need to tell you something." He put his guitar pick down.

"Okay."

"So after you left the restaurant show, I found that Bobbys water bottle was full of alcohol." He says.

"What?" I asked.

"Mhhm, yeah. He got the bartender to slip him some drinks during our intermission. He said it was because he got nervous." He explains.

"There's no way!" I laughed. "He was nervous? But he always picks on me when I'm nervous."

"Exactly what I said!" He says. "That's why I told him he also has to apologize to you. So you let me know if he doesn't."

"And what exactly are you going to do if he doesn't apologize to me?" I asked, suspiciously.

"I don't know, I'll figure it out if it gets to that." He shrugged leaning back in his chair. "But one more thing about Bobby. While he was basically drunk, he said to me that he thinks you're hot." After seeing that shocked look on my face he continues, "Which you are, but... I felt like since now the entire band knows, I didn't want to keep that a secret from you."

"I don't even know what to say to that." I hesitated.

"Yeah, I wasn't sure what to do about it either..." He says. "But it didn't feel right to keep it a secret. Even though he wanted me too. He did say he's not trying to get in the way, you know of us. And I believe him."
