(Lukes POV)

"This! This is where I'd rather be then school!" I said as the two of us walked into the studio.

"Hang on, we aren't staying." She says grabbing her guitar case. "If we're skipping school, let's go do something we don't normally do. Make an adventure out of the day."

"Okay, I don't know where this new Tegan came from, but I really like her." I said as she put the guitar case strap on her shoulder.

"Why thank you." She smiles walking back towards the door. "I like her too."

"What are you wanting to do? How are we making an adventure out of today as you say?" I ask walking back out on to the sidewalk.

"I'm not sure." She answers. "Thats an adventure, figure it out as you go I guess."

"Okay, like I said, I really like the new you, but where did she come from?" I question. "Like you don't have a care in the world that your parents could find out you're ditching school or anything like that. That really doesn't seem like you."

"I know it doesn't. But, why was I worrying so much? So what? Big deal, my parents are slightly mad at me. They'll get over it."

"Wow." I said slightly wide eyed. "I have had quite the influence on you haven't I?"

"Maybe just a 'lil." She responds. "Do you want donuts? I know a great place?"

"Donuts sound great."

—————

"Oh this is our new go to place!" I say in between bites of donut. "These are so good."

"Their new flavor is Fudge Brownie, flavored, donuts. My life is actually complete." Tegan smiles looking from me to her donut. The two of us kept walking, enjoying our donuts when I had an idea.

"Hey, you want to see where I got this thing?" I ask tapping her guitar case.

"Wait really?" She asks grinning.

"Yeah. I can't believe I've never told you the story, but I went to Jack hoping he could help me." I begin explaining.

"I had a hunch."

"Yeah Jack said he had a friends brothers, something like that, that could use their family discount to help me get a guitar cheaper from this new guitar shop that just opened." I finished.

"There is a guitar shop in town and I had no idea?" She asks.

"Yup, right around the corner." I answer as she sped up her walk. She needed no help finding the place. The small store front widows had an acoustic, electric, and bass guitar displayed in the window.

"This place is awesome." She says glancing around. "You really didn't tell me about this place?"

"Yeah, guess I forgot? I haven't been here since I bought it." I respond. "The place has grown a bit."

"Oh my god they put guitar pics on necklaces." She says stopping at a rack.

"Those are obviously guitar picks that didn't sell so they put them on chains to sell them." I say holding one in my hand. "Not to mention these are terrible quality picks. There is no bend in these at all."

"Just admit they're cool and you want one." She adds.

"You're actually right. We did make those when we couldn't sell them." A male voice leaning over the counter said. "Hey you're Luke right?"

"Yeah? Do I know you from somewhere." I ask.

"Yeah, you're Jack Campbells friend right? The one who needed to buy a guitar for a girl?" The guy answers, while Tegan stifled a small laugh. "I'm Parker by the way."
