space pt.1 (💔)

CONCEPT: JK is picking you up from a work meeting and he sees you with a guy. He instantly feels uncomfortable about you and this coworker (who also happens to be your childhood friend.) This pushes him to do something about it behind your back..

NOTE** it may be confusing since i know i updated the pt.2 of this first(i'll rearrange it) and that's because i totally forgot that i had a first part of it.. ahhh T_T but here it is!

*The day before*

You had just got off work and JK was sitting in the lobby of your work building; waiting for you. You were walking out the conference room with your fellow coworkers laughing about a joke one of them had just made. As soon as your eyes meet with Jungkook's from a distance, you tell them goodbye and you make your way to him.

He gets up from his seat and takes your bag and papers that you were carrying from you. You give him a kiss and he puts his arm around you while the two of you walk out to his car.

"Getting comfortable I see?" He says as soon as he catches you look back at your friends and wave.

"With everyone? Yeah! They're all such kind people"

"I meant the guy Y/N."

"Oh him? Don't be ridiculous. That's Y/F/N, I've known him for a while now."

"Exactly my point." he sighs.

You furrow your brows, "And what's that supposed to mean??"

You thought he was ignoring you until you finally reach his car; he opens the door for you before warning you: "Stay away from him."

"But he's just—"

He lightly squeezes your thigh "Babe, just don't argue with me okay?"

You pout to yourself as you fight every urge to keep questioning his unnecessary request and defend you and your friend's friend-only relationship. He shuts the door and you watch him stand there for a moment.

You open the door to ask him what was wrong while he pats his pockets with a worried expression on his face. "Shit, I think I may have dropped my phone in there."

"Want me to go in with you?"

"I'm good baby, just wait here."

You nod and close the car door and wait for him. A phone buzzes on the dashboard and it startles you. You lean over to check on it: It's Jungkook's.

He was already inside the building so it was too late to tell him.

You shake your head and chuckle to yourself, "Oh Kookie, you forgetful little bunny."

*the next day*

You were at work and the whole team was preparing to go out for lunch together but you notice that your friend decides to stay back. It wasn't the only thing you had noticed.. This whole morning he had been acting weird; he was oddly quiet when he's usually extra talkative and making jokes out of everything. You were thinking that maybe he was just having a bad day but even then, you felt bad and wanted to ask him about it yourself.

"I'm sorry Y/N but I think you should just go ahead and go with them.. It's not a good idea for us to be seen together."

"What? Why? We're just friends anyway.. who said we can't—"
