Harper enters the school gates.

Melanie: Coffee?

Harper struts through the corridors like a proud peacock.
Sammy: Morning!
Harper: Morning Sammy! How's Hope?
Sammy: Teething.

She walks past Aaron & Marc who are putting up a 'happy last day of term banner'.

Aaron: We try our best miss!
Marc: Would it kill the grooming lion down there to help?
Flip: Listen you two I designed the banner, least you could do is put it up.

Harper takes her office key out of her bag.

She sips her coffee, she reads the headline & spits out her coffee.

It reads: 'MY HUSBAND BEAT ME - KILLER WIFE RETRACTS STATEMENT.'

In the Nolan's:
Cath: So your statements, you want to retract them?
Andrea: Mhm.
Cath: Why?
Andrea: There's something we didn't say on our original statements.
Cath: & that was?
Andrea: That it wasn't mum.
Cath: Your suggesting someone else did this?
Andrea: Dad did it himself, we all tried to run out, however he hit his head. Once on the door & then another he fell up the stairs when I went to go & get some clothes for mum.
Cath: You mean he died falling up the stairs?
Andrea: That was the 1st blow to his head, the second was hitting his head on the door as we ran out.
Cath: I see, well I'll get that all typed up, collect your mother's NEW statement & we'll go from there, The sooner we do this the better.
Andrea: What do you mean?
Cath: If we're able to work quick enough, we'll be able to do redo the case tomorrow.
Andrea: Tomorrow.
Cath: Yes.
In the school:
Harper is on the phone to the police.
Harper: Yeah who sent out the news on this?
Toshiko: (on the phone) We did.
Harper: Why wasn't I consulted first?
Toshiko: (on the phone) We were given permission to do so by Andrea Nolan.
Harper: Is that so?
Harper puts the phone down.
In the village:
George: What do you want to do?
Noreen: Honestly?
George: Yeah.
Noreen: If we get Rebecca home then we'll stay, if she doesn't we'll go.
George: Yeah?
Noreen nods.
Noreen: Yeah.
Giles: Rebecca's being let out?
Noreen: Depends on the verdict.
Giles: Which I'm very sure will be guilty.
In the prison:
Rebecca: You've got this.
In the village:
Mila: Here Beth, look at this.
Beth: We have collage c'mon will you?
Mila: Look, Andrea's case is being reviewed.
Beth: You've never spoken to the girl.
Mila: So?
Beth: Come on.
Mila: If the case does get reviewed tomorrow as it says here let's bunk & go to this instead.
In the Nolan's:
Harper: Well what is it? I've got 20 minutes till I need to be back at work.
Andrea: Mum & I we retracted our statements.

Andrea: I want to repair our family.
George: What have you done?
Andrea: We've made Jack's death to sound like an accident.
Noreen: What?
Andrea: I know it's great! This time tomorrow we'll all be in the Scarlett Red Tavern.
Harper: Do you realise how stupid that is? You do realise it might not change a thing? You could've done this all for nothing.
George: Or.
Andrea: What?
George: You could end up doing time for perverting the court of justice.
