Giles waves at Noreen who is sat on a bench with Harper, Harper gives him the middle finger.
Rebecca is laying on a bed in her prison cell.
Rebecca: Today's the day.
George stares into space.
Andrea looks in the mirror.
Andrea: I've got this.
She sighs & runs her hands through her hair.
-I've got it all under control.
Mayhem stops playing.
In the Nolan's:
Andrea comes down the stairs.
Andrea: Morning.
George: You realise how bad today could go?
Andrea: I'm doing this for mum, do you realise how bad she has it in there? Jack's ex-wife Miriam is in there, she has a massive girl gang who have it in for mum!
George: Yeah but what if today goes wrong? What if one of you trip up?
Andrea: We won't, Patricia's giving her POV on a video clip which they'll play in the court. We've all said the same things. Nothing can go wrong.
In the village:
Giles: You've picked a lovely day for it!
Harper: Just fuck off Giles.
Giles: Jesus would a please go a miss?
Harper smiles & gets up.
Harper: Fuck off please.
Giles: That's better.
Harper: Before I rip your knackers of & turn them into a pair of ginger clackers.
Giles: Noted.
Giles walks off.
Noreen: It is lovely weather isn't it?
Harper: You tend to get this kind of weather in April, beats rain.
Noreen: Yeah.
Harper: What has Andrea done?
Noreen: She's doing it for Rebecca, just think Harper, we could have our entire family day around the dinner table this evening & we could even get away for a few days all of us.
Harper: Yeah, that'd be nice, all of us sat around a table in your cottage in Cornwall-

She laughs & tears up.
-It's gonna be perfect. We're gonna be a family.
Noreen grabs her hands & smiles, they hug.
Hometown glory stops playing.
Sammy: Right I'm off to give Andrea & Harper some support.
Louis: Good luck, I'll cover your period 3&4.
Sammy: Cheers.
Mila: Miss?
Sammy: Yeah?
Mila: Is the trial going ahead?
Sammy: Yeah.
Beth: Well let's hope it goes well!
Sammy: Yeah.
Sammy & Louis walk away.

Beth: I can't believe we're doing this.
In the court:
Cath: Bring the defendant forward.
Rebecca steps into the box.
-On the 8th July 2021, Jack Dawson died in an altercation involving one Rebecca Nolan; Andrea Nolan & Patricia Fisher.
Rebecca: Yes your honour.
Cath: You handed yourself in on the 6th August 2021, however on the 21st April 2022, you & the other two witnesses retracted the statements provided hours after your arrest.
Rebecca: Yes your honour.
Cath: Why was that?
Rebecca: I remembered something about that night. It wasn't me who killed him, he hit his head-
Cath: Twice?
Rebecca: Yes your honour, Andrea, my daughter ran up the stairs to get some clothes & stuff for me so I could stay out of town for a bit, however Jack being Jack had other ideas, he tried to run up the stairs after me, however he tripped over his feat & hit his head, Patricia & I tried to run out & he got up & hit his head on the door, that's what killed him.
Cath: That seems to all be in order, no further questions are needed.
Rebecca: Yes your honour.
Cath: Now all that awaits are the other statements.
