Molly: Previously On Redbye
Nana is laying on a hospital bed. A blue sheet is placed over her as the surgeons pick up surgical tools.
Ewa: I am going to loose my rag with Jan.
She grabs her coat.
Lena: Where are you going?
Ewa: To visit your father.
Maddie: Louis? What is it?
Louis: I've been demoted to deputy head.
Lydia goes into Alfie's room & goes in his draws, she takes out a packet of condoms.
Lydia: This'll teach her.
She takes a safety pin & pokes multiple unseeable holes in the packets.
Ash: Why don't we take this to the bedroom?
Alfie smiles.
Alfie: Good idea!

In the student flat:
Alfie & Ash get through the door kissing, Alfie & Ash take their outdoor clothing off & head for Alfie's bedroom. Alfie laughs. They go into Alfie's room & shut the door behind them.
The screen goes black.
The next day:
In the village:
The sun comes up.
In the Taylor's:
Nana: Results day.
Sarah: It's all gonna be ok mum, you have nothing to worry about.
Lee: Exactly. Just think happy thoughts mum.
Nana sighs.
Nana: Happy thoughts.
Sarah puts her hand on her shoulder & smiles.
In the prison:
Jan: A week I've been in here Ewa! A week!
Ewa: You should've thought about that before beating up our son because of his sexuality.
Jan: I was reading up on it, there's somewhere near here that offers conversion therapy.
Ewa gasps.
Ewa: I cannot believe that you have just opened your mouth with these ideas.
Jan: The boy needs it Ewa!
Ewa stands up.
Ewa: If you are going to continue to be a small minded arrogant tiny bastard of a man-
Jan: Ewa!

She walks away.
Jan: Ewa! Ewa!
Blizzard by Light Club plays.
Ewa: Save it Jan.
Jan: It's not my fault that our son is nothing but a dirty little faggot!
Ewa: Huh!
She shakes her head & walks away, He kicks a chair.
In the school:
Isla walks in.
Louis: You must be Isla.
Blizzard stops playing.
Isla: Yes & you are the caretaker I'll assume?
Louis: Your deputy head.
Isla: Couldn't have guessed.
Louis: I'll show you to your office?
Isla: I'm not an imbecile you know.

Isla: Good.
She looks around.

She walks off.
Sian pokes her head through the secretary window.
Sian: Isn't she a bitch?
Louis: Yep.
In the Kaczmarek's:
Eryk looks around the house. He picks up his bag & walks out of the house. His keys go through the letterbox.
In the student flat:
Ash & Alfie kiss, Lydia rolls her eyes.
Alfie: I'm gonna go for a shower.
Ash: Alright.
He goes into the bathroom.
Lydia: You do realise that other people live here right.
Ash: Yeah...
Lydia: Then why are you both acting like sex addicts in front of us constantly.
Ash: There's no one else here.
Lydia: So? I shouldn't have to watch my brother & his bit on the side play tonsil tennis with each other.
Ash: Judging by that statement I know exactly what you think of me Lydia.
Lydia: Good.
Ash: So let me tell you what I think of you.
Lydia: Yeah?
Ash: Yeah. I think your a self centred, jealous, bratty, spoilt little cow that can't except that her sister has got a very important job & that his brother is in a relationship.
She goes into the kitchen.

Lydia looks at Ash.
In the hospital:

Mellisa: Joanie, Sarah, Lee please come in.
Nana, Sarah & Lee sit down.
Nana: What do they say? The results?
Sarah: Please tell us it's good news.
Mellisa: I'm afraid i-it's not good news.
Lee rubs his face.
Lee: No.
Mellisa: The lump we found was malignant.
Nana: Oh god.
Mellisa: I'm sorry Joanie but you've got breast cancer.
Nana exhales, Sarah cries, Lee hugs her, he tears up.
Sarah: Can you check again? There's gotta be some sort of mixup.
Nana: Sarah love.
Sarah shakes her head.
-My times up love. My times up.
Sarah & Nana put their heads together.
Mellisa: We can start treatment today if that's what you want.
Sarah: I can't loose you mum. I can't loose you.
They both cry, Mellisa looks down.
Mellisa: I'll give you a minute.
Outside of the hospital:
Celine: Mellisa?
Mellisa cries.
Mellisa: I'm so sorry Celine.
Celine: What?
Mellisa: Your Nana has cancer.
Celine: No. no.
She screams, Mellisa hugs her.
In the Taylor's:
Clara, Tina & Callum stare at Freddie who is on the phone.
Tina: Well?
Freddie shakes his head, Clara cries, Callum hugs her.
-No.
She cries, He hugs her.
In the hospital:
Nana cries.
