you can't save
anybody.
no matter what.

sometimes you
have to let go of
a hand that's
unwilling to hold on.

sometimes, you
have to watch
someone's eyes go
away, watch the skin
becomes blue,
the body stiff.

life is fleeting.
and yet some can't help
but drown in emotions
that, the same how life
exists,
is fleeting, too.

because drowning,
most often,
feels like it'll
never end.

sometimes,
you have to
stop breathing,
eternally.

and i am there,
to watch.

to grieve in
secret.
