Chapter 17—Personal Problem

Klara’s POV:

“Oh, Leaahhhh,” I sang out, sauntering into my twin’s bedroom.

She looked up from where she was laying on her stomach on top of her bed, an open book in front of her as she read it. “What’s up?” she asked before looking back down at the page.

“You and I are going out on our date night tonight,” I informed her, smirking triumphantly as I sat down on her bed Indian style.

Leah furrowed her eyebrows, doggy earring the page before closing the book and sitting up on her folded legs. “Why?” she questioned.

I pretended to look hurt. “What? I wanna take you out—especially after being such an ass to you for the past few days.”

This time she rolled her eyes, scoffing lightly. “You don’t have to do that, Klara. It’s fine.”

I huffed, rolling my eyes at her declining. “I don’t care—I’m taking you out, okay?” I said with finality, and all Leah could do was let out a breath and nod once. I grinned. “Great! What do you feel like eating?”

“Greek,” my twin immediately responded, and I refrained from rolling my eyes. Leah had a thing for Greek food—I should’ve guessed she would want me to take her there.

“Alright,” I said, jumping off her bed and making my way to the door. “Be ready by eight!”

*~*~*~*

“Oh, I haven’t been here in forever,” Leah sighed contently as the two of us walked up the cobblestone pathway towards the door of the Greek restaurant.

I grinned, opening the door to let her enter first before I followed her in. The smell of food cooking immediately intoxicated my nose and I couldn’t help but smile at the smell—man, I love food.

We walked up to the host of the restaurant where a girl stood behind a podium. “Hi, welcome to Its Greek to Me,” she greeted with a smile. “Table for two?” We nodded, shooting her a smile before following her to wherever she led us to our table. Once Leah and I were settled, the girl handed us our menus quickly said, “Your waiter will be with you shortly,” before leaving.

Leah and I opened up our menus—even though I knew what she was going to get—and looked through our menus. As we did so, I was dimly aware of the paparazzi that had gathered outside the restaurant, trying to get pictures of Leah and I as we sat down. Thankfully, we weren’t sitting near the windows, instead we were towards the center of the room, but it was annoying as shit that they were here. I’d never admit it, but I felt a bit guilty for the other people in here who might get bothered by them.

“I’m gonna text George and Lenny to come here in, like, an hour so it doesn’t get nasty outside,” Leah spoke up, pulling out her phone as she nodded over to the window.

I nodded, not so surprised that my twin had been reading my mind as she texted two of our body guards. It was stupid of us to leave without them, but whatever.

Soon enough, as we looked over the menu, an all too familiar voice spoke up. “Leah? Klara?”

My sister and I both looked up simultaneously, and my eyebrows shot up in surprise at the sight of Vin standing next to our table—clad in a dark green Polo shirt and khaki pants with a small notepad and pen in his hands. “Vin!” Leah grinned, revealing her white teeth. “I didn’t know you worked here.”
