Chapter 12

The Beta looks at the tall glass window as he starts to tell the story of his past while the Omega still at the mattress with the Alpha on his lap.

The Beta painted the scene that happened eight years ago when his family members were still alive, his five siblings, four boys, and one girl: Kyosuke, Katsumi, Yu, Shinji, and Sakura. They live in an apartment above a small curry restaurant, the owner of the said shop was kind enough to let them live there and be taken care of while Oda is away for his job as a freelance writer in Tokyo. After both of their parents died, Oda started working so he can provide for his siblings at the age of fifteen.

"I was away for my work as a freelance writer in Tokyo and when I return back my whole family and the person taking care of them for me were all brutally murdered" – Oda said and judging by his tone one can tell that the Beta can still vividly remember the scene like it just happened yesterday.

Oda came back carrying food for his family but what he saw is a devastating scene, there was nothing left of the building. He saw the burned body of the shopkeeper not far from the burned down establishment, he walks through the rubble that is still smoking and had some fire, and there he saw four more bodies, small bodies. He felt that his whole world crumbled down his feet. Though the bodies are badly burnt he can still recognize them by the fragments of their clothes and toys that some of them are holding or nearby: Kyosuke wears an orange padded jacket over his white long sleeve shirt and blue pants, Katsumi wears a blue polo over his gray shirt and wears black shorts, Yu wears a green hoodie and khaki-colored pants, and Shinji wears a blue striped shirt over his white long sleeves with yellow shorts. Though he was able to identify his four younger brothers he cannot find Sakura.

"Sakura!!" – he shouted as he runs at the back of the rundown apartment, not long when he saw her. His eyes widen, his knees quivering, and tears are overflowing. There he saw his sweet young little sister hanging by one of the trees naked, on her body is a paper written with her own blood the words "The Port Mafia will claim what you owe"

He shouted... he shouted until he can't shout anymore... until his throat starts to hurt... until he loses his consciousness.

The Omega is on the verge of crying hearing that, he never knew how brutal the way his family was murdered "I'm sorry to hear that" – the ginger said with sympathy in his eyes "But what could be the reason why the Port Mafia targeted your family?" – he asked.

That question made Oda silent for a few seconds. Dazai who is lying on Chuuya's lap while hugging him by his waist was the one to answer "Because of an Omega"

Chuuya gasps "Omega? Why? What happened?"

"I'm not sure about the exact details because I'm not yet with the Port Mafia when it happened but" – Dazai pauses and sits beside Chuuya "There was a report that his family was hiding an Omega and as you know Mori wanted to capture it"

"No way" – Chuuya mumbled as he looks at Oda.

"It is also said that the men who attacked and committed the murders were lead by an executive" – Dazai trailed "But both me and Odasaku don't know who the executive was and where he is now"

"So you're in the search to find the executive?" – Chuuya asked.

"I started working for the Port Mafia as an outside resource for information about the enemy group until Mori hired me to take care of an Alpha which I've already told you before it was Dazai" – Oda explained "It did work in my favor when Dazai became an executive and appointed me as his partner because it gives me more freedom to roam around the Mafia premises and access to old files"
