Chapter 57

Atsushi opens his eyes with the breeze gently blowing his face, he finds himself underneath a tree, and not far from him are Fumiya and Higuchi both lying unconscious "Fumiya! Higuchi-san!" – he exclaimed with a worried tone but he soon realizes that there are just sleeping.

"You're stupid" – said a voice coming from the top of the tree.

He looks at the man and there he sees "Akutagawa, you're alright"

The Alpha then jumps down from the tree where he rests while guarding the three people with him.

"Answer me..." – he started as he walked forward not wanting to face the Omega "...why did you do that?"

"What do you mean?" – Atsushi tilted his head.

"You said you are loyal to him, then why? Not only that, you could've died" – Akutagawa uttered in a low tone, his hands are inside his pockets while looking at a distance. He was referring to is mentor, Dazai.

Only then does the Omega remember what happened when he releases his scent to seduce the Alpha so as to bring him back to his senses and bite him—mark him.

He slowly looks at the mark on his left wrist and holds on to his neck where he can still feel the wounds made by the Alpha before answering in a very low tone "Because that's the right thing to do, I have to save you"

The Alpha slightly looks back at the Omega, his eyes are that of someone who is hurt and confused "Is that all the reason?" – he asked.

Atsushi looks at him "Should there be another reason?"

Akutagawa takes away his sight and once again looks at the distance "I see, so that's only it"

The silver-haired boy could feel that the other was somehow unhappy, not that he had seen him happy before. He checked on both Fumiya and Higuchi. The young Alpha is in deep sleep because of the chloroform used by the abductor, the female Mafioso on the other hand has her wound tied with cloth, probably the one who did it is Akutagawa.

"Hey, do you think my father really did that? I mean did he really imprison Kouyou-san and order that man to abduct Fumiya?" – Atsushi asked.

Akutagawa who is still standing not far from them "You are asking about a mafia boss, what do you think?" – he questioned rather than answering him.

"But he promised me that he won't hurt Fumiya"

The Alpha snickered before saying "Won't hurt? The Port Mafia's sole purpose is to hurt others to gain what it wants"

"Is that so... maybe you're right, but I thought he was..." – the Omega mumbled.

There is brief moment of silence before the Omega starts to speak up again, but the Alpha suddenly fell to his knees.

"Urgh..." – the Alpha groaned while holding onto his chest.

"What's happening to you?!" – Atsushi quickly checks on him.

The two Alphas once again lock arms, they both use their strengths to push through with their attacks.

"It's true, my other reason why I captured Chuuya is because of his powerful ability" – said Mori "...and also, I promised to myself and... her that I will find someone to be with me forever" – he added as he refers to his dear mother.

That didn't make Dazai feel any better, he gritted his teeth before growling "I also made a promise, a promise to my dear friend, that I will protect Chuuya and our son with all my life and make them happy. I also promised Chuuya that I will stay with him forever!" – he then pushed the other Alpha away to separate them from each other.
