Chapter 28

Before Dazai, Yosano, and Kunikida arrived at the room where the captured Chuuya was taken to interrogate.

There were silence while they are walking and it is obvious to the Alpha's face the sadness, anger, and confusion of how the Omega reacted when they saw each other again.

"Dazai-kun" – the doctor called out when she noticed the brunette being quiet, it is not that she doesn't know what could be the cause but she still asked out of concern "Are you alright?" – she waited for the answer but to no avail, so she proactively brings up the topic "Don't think about it too much, maybe Chuuya-kun is a bit scared or tired that's why he had that reaction and besides the two of you have been apart for so long, maybe he can't still believe that you are finally together" – she tried to reason out for the ginger.

With a very stoic tone, Dazai answered "You're right" – he said as he stares down at the floor while walking "We've been apart for so long, and yet his reaction..." – he grits his teeth holding in the angry feeling that he is harboring at that time "...and his mark..."

Yosano didn't say anything about it while Kunikida remain silent, he doesn't know what the two of them are talking about.

"Tell me doctor" – Dazai said as he stops momentarily from walking "You said to us before that it is the strongest bond... then why..." – he is trying his best to contain the pain "...how did the mark change back to Mori's?" – he asked with an angry tone.

Yosano doesn't know how to answer the question so she chooses not to say anything, whatever it is, it could be something that would hurt him.

Before the conversation could further move on, the guard greeted them "You must be from the Armed Detective Agency? Sakaguchi-san has been waiting for you" – the man said then he opens the door of the interrogation room.

Dazai sees Chuuya sitting in front of Ango looking annoyed and bored but when the ginger noticed him, he gave him a cold look before looking away trying his best not to make any eye contact. In the Alpha's mind, he knows something happened to his fated mate and he is determined to know what it was and also to take him back from Mori.

Atsushi was left at the agency where he is sulking while sitting on his chair "I knew it, he must be important to Dazai-san" – he said inside his head as he gave out another sigh.

"That is your tenth time sighing" – said the dark-haired male as he turns his chair around to look at the young Omega.

"I'm sorry Ranpo-san" – said the young boy "Are you alone here? Where's Kenji-kun and Tanizaki-san?" – he asked.

"They are out for a mission" – said Ranpo but quickly changes the topic back to why Atsushi is sulking "You know if you really are that worried about the relationship of that Omega and your Alpha, you should go and find out instead of moping there like a five-year-old"

"I-I'm not worried about that" – Atsushi blushes "A-and what do you mean my Alpha?"

"I was referring to Dazai, you like him right?"

That question made him all red, yes everyone knows that he liked him but it is more like information that is not being talked about out loud.

"Like him?!"

"Why? Don't you like him?" – Ranpo asked "It is obvious, you always gaze at him and always wanted to be with him. Biologically you're an Omega and he is an Alpha a perfect pair, not that I really care"

"P-perfect pair?" – again the young Omega is all flustered, he has to admit that he really does like if not love the Alpha.

"If you wanted to know about what kind of relationship they have you should go and ask him" – he said as he placed a folder of files on top of his table "Here, Kunikida-kun forgot to take it" – he added, that means Atsushi can use that reason to follow them.
