Chapter 19

There's not a single moment Chuuya didn't cry as hours became days, days became weeks, and weeks became months. He waited and waited for Dazai to come back for him, he went so far to agree on waiting for him at the penthouse of the Port Mafia thinking that is where his fated mate will go back, but still he didn't. The ginger Omega spends most of his time sitting near the window. Kouyou tends to his everyday needs and is the one who always reminds him to take care of himself for the baby.

"I was surprised that you agree to go back here" – Mori said.

"I only agree to it because... because..." – Chuuya starts to stifle.

"Because you think that if ever Dazai returns back, it'll be here? You want him to find you easily" – Mori assumed what the Omega is about to say "It's alright with me, as what Dazai demanded me, I won't do anything to harm his family"

Hearing that, Chuuya can tell the old man might be planning something but he has no choice, he can't go out and search for him with his condition because he can't protect himself if anything is to happen as his ability is acting up and not to mention activating it is dangerous for his baby.

"Yes" – Chuuya answered in a feeble tone as he looks down.

"Chuuya, haven't you had enough of it?" – Mori asked which gains a glare from the Omega "I heard that your previous group the Sheep sold you to the Port Mafia so this isn't new to you, to be abandoned"

"Shut the fuck up! I know Dazai will never do that! He will never leave me and our baby!" – he snarled in anger, if not because he cares about the baby inside him he would have activated his ability to rip off the boss' head.

Mori chuckled in a menacing tone "Alright if you say so but let me tell you this, I know Dazai longer than you do"

"I-It doesn't matter how long we know each other, I know he will come back for me!"

"Well that's all I want to say" – he said still with the menacing look, he is about to leave the room but before opening the door he turns around to look at Chuuya one more time "Here's an offer, if you have come to accept the fact that your fated mate will no longer be returning back, I would be happy to take you in and I will allow you to keep that thing" – he said referring to Chuuya's unborn child.

"I would never even if I die!"

The raven-haired boss chuckled and left the room.

A few more months have passed.

Kouyou enters the room and there she sees Chuuya in the same spot, he is been staring at the blue sky, and his usual bright smiling face whenever he is with Dazai was changed into an emotionless expression. There are no more tears coming out of his weary eyes, the too much pain of waiting for Dazai to come back made him numb physically and emotionally.

"Chuuya-kun" – Kouyou called silently as she place the tray of food on the table "Time to eat"

Chuuya didn't look or say anything to the lady, he continues on staring at the sky blankly. It's been four months since Dazai went missing or what Mori said left the Port Mafia without telling, the Omega's pregnancy is now obvious with his belly bump. In short period of time with Kouyou's motherly instinct she became attached to Chuuya whom she already considered as her own child, it breaks her heart to see him deteriorate from being a lively young lad full of dreams and fighting spirit to a stoic and downhearted person just like Dazai when he started at the Port Mafia.

"It is bad for you and your baby's health if you don't eat" – Kouyou said with a worried tone.

There was a moment of silence and then in a very low tone Chuuya speaks "He's not coming back is he?"
