"Why hello there," you cooed, walking right up to him. Jimin chuckled, letting you wrap him in a hug. "Groom," you greeted.
"Best friend of the groom," he responded, chuckling as he pulled away. You smiled, letting out a sigh as you held your purse close to your body. You stared at him and he raised his eyebrows. "Yeah?"
"Nothing-- can't believe you're getting married." Jimin chuckled and looked away, running his hands through his hair, pushing it all back. You slapped his wrist. "Don't ruin it-- it looked good."
"I look good no matter what; it won't matter." You smiled, shaking your head. You stepped aside and let Jimin bow to and greet an uncle who walked past you and into the venue. You turned back to your friend and straightened out his tie.
"So happy for you, Jiminie."
"Thanks, y/n." You smiled, kissing his cheek. "Sit up front on the groom's side, okay? I want you to witness everything up close and get jealous that you aren't the one getting married."
You laughed and swatted his arm, shaking your head. "Are you sure you're even mature enough for marriage?"
"Nah, but looks like I'm getting married first anyway."
You rolled your eyes and sighed, glancing into the venue as Jimin gestured you inside. "Will I be seeing you after the wedding or are you two running off before the reception?"
"Probably running off," he said with a chuckle. "I'll see you at the reception, y/n."
"Sounds good, Jiminie." You walked in and smiled at the few people from Jimin's family that you knew. You gave his mother a hug before going to take a seat in the second row on the groom's side.
Jimin was getting married.
Time flew by so fast.
The wedding began right on time, all the guests having shown up right on time. You grinned to yourself the whole time, waiting for Jimin to come up to stand at the altar. You knew just how in love he was with his bride and wanted the absolute best for them.
But your smile began to diminish the second you watched him walk up with someone you hadn't seen in a few years.
Of course.
Your mouth parted a little as you watched the boys speak in hushed voices up at the front. But seeing as you hadn't found it within yourself to pry your eyes away from them, Taehyung's gaze landed on you, lips parting in shock the same way.
You ignored the way Jimin pinched his best man in the arm when noticing your eye contact, looking away as the wedding officially began.
-
It was killing you.
That's what liking Kim Taehyung was doing to you.
What started off as a tiny crush that you'd had on him at the beginning of high school had turned into a full-fledged one-sided love story over the four years. And you were just letting yourself get dragged further and further into it with every glance, every conversation, and every moment.
So now here you were, crying in the stairwell because of him with Jimin's arms around you.
"Breathe, y/n."
"I ca-can't."
"You're okay, y/n. I'm right here. See? I'm right here." He rubbed your back and you only cried harder and harder into your palms as you pulled your knees up to hug. Jimin leaned against you, attempting to provide comfort. "Okay?"
