Like stuck in loop Renjun once again stepped inside the building making his way slowly towards his office, the winter slowly approaching making everything seem more quieter than usual, but obviously his department had plan of it's own and was clearly a mess.

"What's with all the hustle?"

Renjun asked annoyed upon the commotion early morning as he walked through the building door seeing people panicking.
The receptionist stood up in a low bow upon seeing him.

"sir the admiral is here"

ms kim said reluctantly aware at how their relation was famous throughout the chains of government. Everyone knew that power imbalance along with the constant disagreement over the course of years some kind of hatered brewing among the two men.

Admiral was a bad news, he was the only reason why renjun was not promoted to higher rank and not only that he doubted his abilities but also made his work life hell.

Entering his office he found the adult resting in his chair, taking metal note to get a new chair he leaned against the door frame seeing the unpleasant face.

"Surprise visit admiral park"

renjun gave a glare which was equally returned by the man infront of him, wrinkles all over his face, prominent dark circles along with receding hairline. The grim aura he carried reminded him of someone.

"I had to mr huang renjun after seeing you struggle with latest case"
he replied voice coarse and filled with mockery. Among all the things Renjun despised, being looked down upon was the worst especially when it was from a man with his feet half in grave.
Biting his inner cheek he gave a chuckle

"we're working on it sir"
he replied as respectfully as he could fully aware more than the case he was worried about his own position.

"oh yeah while you're working on it another senior office here will die!"

He shouted at renjun who scoffed crossing his arms giving the older male a disgusted glare.

"Are you perhaps scared you'll be next mr park?" He asked with a grin, all he could care about in this world more than money was his own self. His rash behavior implied he was anxious, something was off

"a person serving his nation is never afriad of death"

admiral replied slamming the table harshly making renjun roll his eyes. The act of being the hero when all he could ever be was side character who everyone hated.

"Yet your actions say otherwise...and what are you here for? Transferring another one of your so called qualified investigators? Take a damn break and sit in your mansion protected by guards while me and my team will save higher ups like you"

he scoffed giving a death stare to admiral who was obviously caught off guard by the younger's words.
Clearing his throat he loosen his tie

"get your work done or I'll send someone to supervise" he said tidying his coat as he got up checking the surroundings once more before he left.
Not wanting to reply he simply pushed past him.
The door closed with a thud making renjun curse in every language he knew.
With a high blood pressure he sat down on the couch as he loosened his tie not wanting to get suffocated in his own office.

"Ms park you may come out now"

he announced not looking up from the files which were to be signed by him. Few seconds passed by and a shuffle was heard from behind the storage files In the corner of his office.

"Uh haha good morning cap!"

She said awkwardly straightening her shirt and ruffling her hair which were caught among the files from hiding down low.

"and if i may ask why were you hiding in my office?"

he inquired finally giving her a glance after signing the papers, placing the pen down he awaited for her explanation. Seohyun gave a nervous chuckle fidgeting with her fingers.

"Funny story actually..see i was looking for a file-

"Miss seohyun i don't have time to hear you lies"

He said slamming the file in his hand on table harshly making the girl flinch though his voice was in lower range his anger was clearly more intimidating.

"Are you scolding the poor girl!?

Haechan shrieked entering the office hearing renjun play dart with the files for some reason.

"answer the damn questions" he asked his voice dropping a few octaves staring at her with a glare enough to make her stiffen.

"I didn't wanted to be seen by admiral"

"why?"

The question was small yet she knew she had to face this reality one day seeing Haechan and Jaemin who now stood at the door giving renjun a look of disapproval she inhaled sharply.

"He's my.." she took a pause before continuing "father"
For some reason the word left a bitter taste in her mouth, like calling him that was a curse. The two at the door had their mouth hung open shocked at the revelation.
Renjun nodded not asking anything else.

"Dude! You're THE daughter of admiral park hyunbin!?"

Haechan asked as he was still in shock not being able to process the fact she was the daughter of the person who had made their lives hell.
Making the girl nod
"pretty much"
Jaemin cleared his throat not knowing how to react with this new yet Haechan took a few steps inside with an impressed look.

"Damn i never knew that man could have child this pretty...must be your mother's genes eh?"

He stated to which she gave a small smile, she definitely had her mother's genes all except for the eyes those were from him.

"You could say"

"so what's your favorite place to eat? Kfc, subway,burger king-

"Mcdonalds" she cut him off with a smile of amusement making him nod.

"yep was just gonna say that..can i take you to mcdonalds sometime?"

Renjun threw his file directly at haechan making him duck down rapidly missing it's mark jaemin became the victim of his rage.
With a cry he stood up wanting to hit him back.

"mind your own damn business"

Renjun clicked his tongue in annoyance. As jaemin slamming the file on Haechan's head went to get ice for his forehead.

"stop acting like you're her boyfriend or anything...she might not even like you for starters" haechan dusted his shirt
" get that file that just flew up your dumb ass and write the report i asked you to"

he ordered making him whine stomping his feet walking out of the office sulking.
Seohyun was laughing silently looking at the boy

"ms park are you forgetting something?"

He looked at girl who furrowed her brows in confusion thinking all of possible things she might be missing

"uh hehe enlighten me please"

"The postpartum result given by dr han was wrong as you yourself said..i asked for the actual reason of death from you" he explained making her eyes widen cursing mentally at herself forgetting such an important detail.

"Yes I remember! I am so sorry cap I'll have that done in two... NO.. one hour" she announced hurrying her way out
