Seohyun pushed her chair back done with the conversation just as she brushed pass renjun he firmly grasped her wrist stopping her in her tracks.

"what?"

The girl asked not bearing a single glance at the male who slightly pulled her closer not letting her leave without getting and conclusion.

"clear the autopsy results then you are free to go" he said making her scoff finally looking at him with emotions Renjun had a hard time reading, was it rage? Or was it dissatisfaction?

"The results were fabricated mr huang the fingerprints are missing and cause of death is stated as brain haemorrhage while infact it was- wait I'm off the case right? Handle it yourself"

She stopped midway a sarcastic smile on her lips. She knew it frustrated him to not have the compliment knowledge and given his harsh statement of not being part of the team he deserved this. Renjun glared at her silently for a minute thinking deeply before he cursed under his breath silently.

"What's your condition?"

He mumbled in a low voice at first seohyun raised her brow amused. Was the infamous 'i don't care about your opinion' inspector saying what she had heard?

"what was that? Didn't quite hear you?"

She asked leaning towards him with a annoying smile, he said it once it wouldn't hurt him to repeat his words.

"state your condition ms park"

he gritted his teeth saying it out loud this time, jaemin remained unfazed while the others had a look of suspicion on their faces. For Renjun to ask for her conditions to stay in the team meant that he was willing to stop her from leaving.

"if i say the plan is off it is"

she crossed her arms leaning against the table looking down at him, making renjun scoff at her words.

"may i remind you that I AM INCHARGE" he reminded standing up the distance between them yet his height slightly towering above her.

"and I'm your senior forensic expert you need me"

she challenged renjun who rolled his eyes in frustration.
"i have won all the cases without your help what makes you think i need you?"

He asked knowing that even without her in the office he had accomplished cases of greater difficulties for which he had pride for. The ego boost he got everytime was for obvious reasons.
Yet Seohyun was not backing down without a good fight.

"First of i have connections with national intelligence, you get information, I'm the only weak link Your enemy mr park has and my expert forensic advices are a bonus mr huang... trust me you need me"

she stated the facts counting the points on her fingers with a sly smile.  To say renjun was pissed was an understatement, she was right he did require her services but agreeing to her condition would put a severe dent on his ego.

"Which also makes you a suspect"
he replied back

"aww i thought we were over that? I have a strong alibi, no motive I'm clear"

Renjun took a deep breath Putting the file in his hand down "You want to work on this case or not?" He asked calmly there was only weak point she had and that was the desire to solve this case 

"i do" she mumbled lowly

"then do me a favour and go through the file i have made" he scoffed rolling his eyes annoyed leaving the area with a harsh sigh

Seohyun gave the file a peak then looked over to renjun working in the office as a sigh left her lips she knew what she was going to do was wrong yet it was necessary. She couldn't stay here and be a constant risk to the whole team. The longer she worked against her father the more keen he will be to destroy the links which were helping her, in this case Renjun who had made his stance clear against the admiral was a constant threat.
Summoning the courage she went to his office knocking the door before entering.
She awkwardly shifted her feet standing in front of his table not sure how his reaction will be.

"say what you have to"

renjun expressed not bearing a glance typing on the keyboard shifting across the pages awaiting for her response.

"You can call me off the case"

she said making renjun stop typing and look up at her who had her hands fidgeting nervously. Her words though were clear it bugged him that she was not absolutely sure if the path she has choosen correct.

"you sure?" He asked and taking a moment Seohyun nodded
"yes"

Renjun hummed as a response
"I'll tell hyuck to get your transfer files if not anything else then I'm quite busy" he said as the sound of typing was heard in the room. Her heart at unease She hoped that maybe he will stop her, it was foolish desire yet she couldn't stop herself from feeling as he had the power to change her mind if he tried but let's get real why would he do that.

standing there for a few seconds she took a deep breath
"Can i- nevermind" she bit her tongue not wanting to continue turning around she didn't look back Knowing it was for the best if she backs off involving herself in this case was going to bring suspicion to renjun and the whole department
