Going outside seohyun shivered as the cold wind blew coming out in an sweatshirt wasn't the most pleasant idea in this cold weather well who could blame her she hit the accelerator as soon as she heard that renjun was meeting her dad. Cursing at the boy she leaned against her car which she had so recklessly drove.
Looking at her watch she had made her mind if he was late than surely she will leave him not caring he would end up ruining everyone's morning next day.

"You're freezing"

Hearing his voice she unlocked the car getting inside. She had to leave this place not being able to stand a single moment more in this cold and anywhere near her father.

"are you coming or not"

She asked starting the engine rolling the window slightly to get her message across, as he stood with an amused smile on his face. Was it crazy for him to think for a minute that she cared about him?.

"easy angel..why are you being so cranky"

He chuckled opening the door to driver seat where seohyun was sitting not baring a glance she inhaled sharply was he this Insufferable before? Or was his antics getting less tolerable by each passing day?.

"i really don't want to talk to you right now" she replied clearly she was in a bad mood
Crouching to her eye level he started at her. For starters she did look insanely fascinating and attractive with anger.

"it was just a random meet up hyun"

he said not wanting her to to misunderstand any of the situation , making her scoff pushing him away slightly getting out of the car. Not for a second she had doubted his loyalty yet his ways were always so twisted it overwhelmed her.

"That's your problem renjun! You think you can do anything with no consequences whatsoever! Back at the office everything has gone to hell yet here you fucking are! Having drinks with the person who ruined MY life!"

She shouted not giving a damn If they stood in the middle of the night, the fog building up obstructing vision as the night grew darker so did the temperature dropped. But all she felt was the hot burning rage to get his acts right.

"I know what's happening back there that's why i came here to have a chat"

Renjun shrugged for him he was more concerned about the case and team but he had to do some things to keep them safe wether it be threaten the admiral or fight the board of directors.

"a chat? You're being ridiculous" she scoffed was he serious about having a chat with the prime suspect. It was not even hilarious how carelessly he went without any protection. His gun was tucked in his pocket which made his defenseless. Walking into a enemy territory without ammunition did he think he was in GTA and would respawn?

"me? You're the one who has been talking back to me recently"

he said moving towards her as much as he could listen to her nagging the two were simultaneously on constant edge which they let out in rather unhealthy ways.
Seohyun leaned against the car she was so tired, of fighting not him but the whole world, herself. She did not another problem in her life.

"I'm done with the conversation now Huang Renjun, you do what you want"

she sighed looking away. He would rather see her put up a good fight than give up she had come a long and way and now was not the time to feel weak. Standing infront of her he leaned down.

"look at me"

he ordered in a low voice wanting to say something that could only be said if she saw with her own eyes how much he meant, stubborn as hell she just shrugged looking sideways for he wasn't the only person with an attitude problem.

"hyun..don't make me repeat myself"

And there she was with a frown on her face nothing she hated more than a threat like statement which he had just uttered to get a response out of her. Cursing under her breath she tilted her head up slightly.

"what renjun"

She asked annoyed finally giving him a glance. His eyes softening as he took a second to muster up all the courage he had to just to say the magical words which she so wanted to not only head but feel.

"I'm sorry"

Her mouth agape as she tried to process the words which left his mouth. Did he just apologize? Using the right words rather than his weird sneaky ways? It was unbelievable.

"Come again?"

With a scoff he shook his head, already hard enough for him to say that once he wasn't going to repeat himself.

"I won't say it again"

He rolled his eyes yet she stood on guard narrowing her eyes with ears perked up to hear him just one more time. Tilting her head she stared at him as he inhaled sharply.

"God! I hate your ego Huang, absolutely despise it"

Wrapping his coat around her he placed his hand on her head. The coldness replaced with the warmth of his coat.

"I'll fix everything hyun, have faith in me"

His voice soft and pleading she could almost get used to this, all he asked for was trust and she was more than willing him that yet somehow he remained troubled his delicacy making her melt forgetting she was ever mad at him.

"fine" she mumbled looking up at him she took a deep breath, maybe what he needed was not a harsh scolding as she had been doing so lately  but a simple reassurance that her loyalties lie with him.

"I always had faith in you jun"

With a smile on his face Renjun silently tucked the loose strands of her hair with a feathery touch leaving her with tingles. Just like that his confused mind got cleared and now his heart rushing.

"I'll drive"
he took the car keys from her, seohyun held his hand gently like a kid who holds a single finger while crossing the streets. Her touch sending goosebumps down his body.

"jun"

she called softly Renjun hummed as a response looking at her like she was a star in sky. A north star around which the whole universe and other stars revolved around for him she was the brightest star shinning in the sky. His look was definition of heart eyes, to him in that moment she was the perfect thing... she was the best thing that had happened to him in his life.

"Nothing"

Letting out a soft chukle Renjun gave him a look at which she shrugged. He  leaned down to kiss her forehead gently.

"we'll get through this, you have my word"
