Ace of spades || Huang Renjun

As the evening settled in the calmness came yet in the hindsight renjun could foreshadow something was coming, something unusual.
Just then a Knock was heard on the door before chenle entered

"Uh bad news"
he said as he turned pale with fear, this wasn't the usual chenle who would panick over just a simple murder the curiosity eating him alive.

"just say it"

Renjun said getting up wearing his black leather jacket and holding car keys ready to dash out at any given moment now.

"We have a crime scene to report to and it involves admiral's daughter"
he said in single breath Hearing the news his heart dropped to his stomach. Taking out his phone he pushed past chenle faint sound of him being called by younger was heard but it wasn't important right now.

"Haechan i need you track seohyun's phone right now and send me the location"

he said starting the car driving as fast as he could his usual calm demeanor changing into a panic state. Seohyun had taken an early leave for personal reasons which he knowing how stressful the case had been lately granted it.

"Bruh chill she ain't running"
he joked not aware in the slightest of the whole situation.

"hyuck this isn't funny! We got info about admiral's daughter being involved in crime scene"

he told making haechan's line end being silent who was now without saying anything ready to track her down.

"Just send the location I'll call you later"

renjun said ending the call
He tried calling seohyun multiple times but it never reached her line nor did she pick up, thanking the heavens Haechan had returned because with the speed of light he sent her location.
Renjun drove past the cars aggressively only stopping when he reached at her house.

The guards stopped him at the entrance making him curse internally were they not aware who he was?

"Senior inspector huang renjun i have authority to enter"

he said showing his identification card not bothering for their reply he pushed past in hurry. Park hyunbin being the admiral sure lived in a mansion, the possibility of him finding her in time if he checked all of the rooms would definitely be low. So he resorted to a technique he never thought would have to use.

"park seohyun!"
His shouts resonated in the big mansion echoing back in the hope she would reply back. Running the stairs he stood at the main hallway figuring where to check first.

"Renjun"

Her faint voice called him ever so lightly, the voice he'd recognize even in the dark night, the voice he'd followed even if turned blind.
Focusing on the distance of her echos he reached a room just in front of the balcony the gaint door closed, yet he knew she was behind it so he pushed it open with all the strength he had.

With a grunt it opened, his eyes carefully looking around but stopping at the one individual for whom he would chase to ends of the worlds for.
Taking a deep breath he saw as she sat in a pool of crimson blood, her bloodstain hands shaking as her vision hazy from tears which threaten to fall from her eyes.
She was scared, her quicken breaths along with the tremors, pupils dilated she tilted her head towards the male who took careful steps towards her stopping just near the blood careful not to cause any disturbance at the scene on crime.

"She's-she's gone"

Her deep black hair now disheveled covering her eyes obstructing her line of sight even further, her voice almost like a whisper in the wind.

"Renjun she's gone"

she muttered again this time a bit louder to remind herself where she stood, renjun silently held his hand out for the girl which her trembling hands grasped. Pulling her towards himself he steadied her in his hold.

Not a single words exchanged between them yet when she looked in his eyes, all she could feel was the sense of comfort which came along his presence. A single tear ran down her cheek. Raising his hand softly he wiped his thumb across her face. His gentleness which rarely made it's appearance made her forget where she was and wrapped her arms around him.
Hugging him tightly she cried silently burying her head in his shoulder screams muffled as she shook from terror.

"Renjun!"

The voice of jaemin was heard as he had reached along with other investigators who stood alerted at the scene which unfolded Infront of them.

"he killed her too"
Her breath hitched as she spoke but she had to tell him, 
For first time in many years he felt that feeling of helplessness again. He could do nothing for her but listen to her cries praying it gets better.
Patting her head lightly he treaded his rough fingers through her hair wanting to ease her mind he let her clutch on to him ignoring the fact she was drenched in blood.

"Let's get you out of here hmm?"

His tone softening to a level which was unfamiliar to any of those who ever met or knew him.
Seohyun couldn't process anything, she just stood there lifelessly muffling her cries not caring if renjun's crisp white shirt was drenched in blood and tears.

Jaemin wearily reached near the two clearing his throat before whispering.

"Uh renjun we have to um investigate the admiral is going crazy her Wife just got murder"
