Renjun woke up earlier today. Looking at the small box that had been sitting in his drawer for a month know. All his confusion disappeared last night. With a small smile he walked over to seohyun who was sleeping soundly.
Brushing her hair back he kissed her cheek softly. Feeling his warmth she stirred from her sleep squinting her eyes open.

"Leaving for Work?"

She mumbled in a low voice as Renjun softly griped her hand swiftly letting the ring slip on her finger.
With a small peck on her forehead he admired her beauty.

"I'll be back before you wake you love"

He assured her. As she nodded in her sleep gripping the blanket closer to her as it was cold. Renjun took a moment to admire her running his hands through her hair patting her head lightly.  With an forehead kiss he left.

A few things needed to be taken care of before he came back. It was for her everything was for both of us from the start.

Seohyun got a call from yangyang which made her open her eyes, waking up from her sleep attending the call. Humming to him a way to tell she was listening.

"What has Renjun done"

His voice sounded worried a bit shocked. It wasn't new to hear from anyone that renjun has done something surprising which is why she was relaxed.

"What?"

"Hyun, look at the news. Another murder by ace of spades and Renjun is not picking up my calls"

Her eyes shot open which was previously closed as she was extremely chill. In shock she sat up throwing the blanket aside. Getting out of the bed in hurry.

"tell me you're joking yang, he told me he was leaving for work!"

She was beyond panicked turning the TV she listened to the news which clearly stated about murder of the current  CEO of pharmaceutical company. Her heart drop to her stomach.

"Seohyun"

Her thoughts disturbed hearing yangyang's voice through the phone.

"I'm going to find him"

Before she could hear yangyang protest to make a plan before going anywhere she ended the call. Getting changed into warmer clothes walking down the stairs in hurry as she ran her fingers through her hair to push back her front bangs she felt something on her hand.
Stopping in her tracks she took a glance down at her left hand.
Her heart stopped, just like the time for her.
Running a finger to feel the ring she was stunned. Gulping down the lump in her throat she couldn't move. Assuming Renjun had slid it in the morning while he was leaving made her feel an emotion she was unaware of.

"Looks like you're up"

Hearing his voice Seohyun looked up in an instant. He was covered in blood. His favourite white shirt covered in red blood. her words stuck in her throat. There was so much she wanted to ask him that it was hard to even form words. Renjun walked towards her with a small smile.
Without saying much she just hugged him. Wrapping her arms around him taking a breath of relief seeing him alive and well. Briefly she check his body for any wounds. Cupping his cheeks with a worried look. Making him fall in love even deeper.

"Why did you do it?"

Renjun smiled at her dearly. He didn't need much of a reason to explain to her why he did what he had to.

"Your birthday present baby, you wanted this end right? I'll bring it to one today. So won't have to suffer anymore"

Seohyun knew he was about to execute his plan this month but she would have never guessed he would to it the next day. She was flabbergasted.
He was insane for this.

"Renjun still, you risked your identity!  What if someone saw you or—did you leave any evidence!?"

Renjun just chuckled at her words he knew she was worried about their plan failing but he was a pro at this.

"I might as well hand myself over if I had left any evidence love, trust me we're winning"

The one thing he always used to say to her ever since he took her in. He was positive the ball was in their court and this time he would not fail. Not a single mistake would be made.

"Besides there is absolutely no way anyone is going to know I'm Ace of spades"
