Ace of spades || Huang Renjun

"I know you're here come out!" Renjun growled as the two now stood behind the wall behind which the murder stood.

"what's the fun in that captain keep finding me!" A manic voice of man was heard who laughed.

"The police has surrounded the area more than 6 trained investigators are in this building you have no chance to escape" renjun told pointing his gun at the murder as a warning.

"Oops...well just have to say that beware next can be one of you..or maybe that sweet lady next to you" he warned as renjun shot a bullet at the man his mark never missing went straight through his hand which held the gun. As much as he wanted to kill the killer he wanted to catch him alive.
His painful groan was heard

"it's over give up"
hearing renjun's words he chuckled moving back near the window.

"For you it is" he winked showing the detonator assessing the whole situation he realized it was trap designed for him specially. It was his plan to get renjun on the elevator so he could kill him.
Renjun cursed looking at the woman beside him.

"ms park to the stairs run"
he ordered pulling the girl with him dashing towards the emergency exit stairs.

"Adios captain!" His maniac screams were heard before the bomb which he had placed in the elevator detonated. Renjun covered Seohyun to protect her from any major injuries. If anything she was in this position because of him and his responsibility and Huang Renjun never ran away from his responsibility.

Black smoke filled the air flames of fire where the explosion took place reached till end of stairs. Renjun coughed out as his air passageway restricted from the smoke ears deafening from the loud noise it took him solid few minutes to get hold of himself.

Taking a look at the girl next to him he got up reaching for his phone.
Dialing emergency number he called jaemin who he prayed to heavens was early today.

"Jaemin we need assistance asap!" Renjun coughed waving off the air to Improve his visibility.

"holy shit! That area just had a major blast and you're alive!" He shouted making renjun scoff
"unfortunately jaem...now send someone" he instructed

He looked down at seohyun who was alive and breathing.

"ms park are you okay?" He inquired ending the call assured that medical assistant will be there in a while.

"yeah..thank you except for the fact I can't breathe " she coughed out as the smoke filled the place if they stayed there any longer asphyxia would lead them to death.

"Let's head out"
he suggested making her nod yet letting out a squeal as she tried moving her foot.
Renjun examined her seeding her ankle which was impacted by the rubble from the explosion.

"you have injured your ankle" he muttered at the inconvenience of having an Injured partner.

"thanks didn't notice there cap" she sneered yet still taking support of the wall she tried standing up not wanting to be a liability.

"There is a reason why i work alone" he muttered taking a deep breath working out the ways to get out of the place in one piece before the building collapsed and crushed them under or they died due to carbon monoxide poisoning.

"Don't move I'll pick you up we need to get down right now before fire spreads killing us both"
he told warning her beforehand yet she gave him a glance seeing blood seeping out of jacket and coating his white dress shirt red
"but your arm" she trailed off when renjun picked her up hissing in process for he had injured his hand protecting the girl beforehand.

"Now aren't you a gentleman" she muttered hiding a smile which made way to her face seeing the Infamous rude detective carrying her down the stairs. "I'll throw you" he replied walking down the stairs

And let me tell you that was not easy when there were 4 flights of stairs an injured bleeding hand and a girl to carry

"Damn are you guys okay!?" Jeno asked worried seeing the two "the medics are just by the corner" jaemin led them to get treatment immediately.

"Chenle, status?"
renjun asked as the senior staff of crime department was gathered  around the ambulance while he was gonna get a good 5-6 stitches on his arm due to the glass which had slashed his skin.
Seohyun already her leg patched up sat inside.

"After the explosion the crime scene was also destroyed the body is no where to be found all the traces, everything, is blown by the small blast that took place" he reported as chenle by the help of jisung had collected information in as less time as possible.

Renjun hissed in pain feeling the needle prick his arm closing his eyes at the mere thread which was now being sewed in his skin.

"god damn it how did you manage to get hurt anyways?" Jaemin asked knowing renjun wasn't reckless enough to lead them Into an obvious trap.

"The elevator got stuck and we had to stop at 4th floor we found ace there he threatened to kill us and renjun told us that we need to run surprising how we actually survived" seohyun explained quite impressed at his survival skills.

"It was quite obvious i should've known better...sorry for risking your life there"

renjun said gritting his teeth due to pain it was almost unbearable to be defeated in a game where he was the champion it hurt his pride more than anything. Not a single case he lost, he wasn't going to lose this one as well.

"Thank you for saving me" she mumbled.

"So urm both of your life is in danger now?" Jisung asked as he scratched the back of his neck nervously.

"I'll be fine"

renjun said as the the bandage got tied he stood up getting up to grab his jacket.

"Oh and seohyun if you need assistance with police tell me I'll contact them"

"Why do you keep disappearing?" Seohyun asked irritated at his habit of walking out of conversation every single time making him raise his brow

"i have things to do and if you're going to interrupt me i will gladly give all the paper work under your assistance" he told "pfft you wouldn't" she shrugged
"Oh he definitely would" chenle shivered getting flashbacks

"i would" He gave a scary look making her chuckle nervously
"Have nice evening cap" she bowed
