"Guys don't you think it's weird?"

Wooyoung said making everyone in the department give him dirty look groaning. They all disliked his personality which was a lot talkative often meddling in others business which annoyed every person in the department.

"what now?"

Chenle asked frustrated this might be the 200th thing he was going to impose his opinion about in a single hour. Jeno had safely tucked headphones in his ears cancelling his noise. As wooyoung turned to all of them yet again.

"mr huang never failed once yet with this case it has been 6 months and 6 murders what if he knows the killer"

He said in a spooky voice wanting to throw a conspiracy theory against the head of department. In a way it made sense but for Renjun to be a killer he lacked a strong motive to kill all the people who he had no connection with whatsoever. His ridiculous assumption made jaemin give a sarcastic laugh.

"funny then he wouldn't be working his ass off for you to conspire against him"

Jaemin said his voice dangerously low signalling he was angry, already on the edge with his useless and idle talking had ruined the work place now he had the courage to blame their leader? He did have some nerve yet jaemin wasn't going to stay quiet and watch this.

"He is crazy let him be"

chenle scoffed wanting to calm their chief officer was glaring at the man who once again opened his mouth to utter nonsense.

"and you blindly trust your head just like that? What if he is the killer?"

Wooyoung asked slamming the table as he stood up wanting to convey his point at this point everyone was convinced that hyunbin had sent him to destroy their teamwork by plotting and brewing distrust. Seohyun who had entered the office heard the conversation as she waited by the door not making her appearance known observing silently.

Low on patience jaemin got up holding him in a chokehold. He could watch alot of things but hearing anything against his friends was out of question. Pushing him harshly against the table the commotion led everyone to be alerted.

"then I'll personally ask him to kill you first"

Jaemin held his gaze while threatening him, wooyoung had enough fun these few days shit talking as his arm choked the man just enough for him to tap his arm loosing his breath.

"jaemin let him go"

Jeno sighed putting his hand on the male's shoulder indicating him to stop. With a sharp inhale he loosened his grip pushing his away from himself dusting his clothes.
Seohyun took a deep breath leaning against the door watching the tension in room build up it was not uncanny for like this to happen but she didn't expect it from a person like Jaemin. She felt a presence behind her but knew who it was from the deep suffocating colonge he used everyday which made her remain unbothered until a chin was poking her shoulder which made her turn towards him.

"Renjun"

she muttered taken back by their closeness yet again a small smile on his face he had witnessed the sight yet was calm.

"before you get cranky I'll have him gone in a week" he whispered in her ear seohyun gave her a slight glare his hate for wooyoung was on one side, the main reason she wanted him out of the office was his out of pocket theories and tactics of deceiving.

"yep after he is done conspiring that you're ace of spades"

her scoff made Renjun chuckle at her words his deep vibrations sending goosebumps through her body. Sometime he did forget they were at a workplace and not at their home to be this close to her in public space.

"I've faced worse hyun what's the worse he can do?"

He shrugged as he was confident in himself which Seohyun termed as overconfidence. He should remain humble as he track down the case completely.

"stop over estimating yourself huang"

she shook her head making him hum deeply yet again chills ran down her irritated she pushed him away not wanting to be bothered by his close proximity.

"Easy tiger might have to tame you now"
Renjun hissed in disappointment as she had shoved him away from herself.
"I'll take that as a compliment" she smiled walking away

As of today everything was weirdly quiet after jaemin's little fight with wooyoung everyone was cautious. Jaemin was a jolly fellow yet his bad side was a hindrance and everyone feared that —even renjun doesn't like to mess with him during his temper
That is why the meeting room was full of staring contest and daggers sent through glares.

"If anyone has something to say just get on with it"

Renjun sighed wanting to get over with this as soon as he could the environment had been ruined for a long time and as the leader he room the responsibility to turn it back into a better place.

"I'm not working with him"

Jaemin said clearly not masking his words at all the loathing evident in his voice.

"same" seohyun agreed voting in his favour.

"Do we want to catch ace or not?" Wooyoung scoffed it was unbelievable they were willing to loose such an asset, he had connections that could lead to early closure, promotion and increased pay if they cooperated yet they all were so fixated on their pride.

"you don't get to interrupt"

seohyun rolled her eyes at him, he didn't have any business here nor did she want to associate with him along with others

"ouch ms park your words hurt"

he joked putting his hand on his heart pretending to be hurt. It was clear she didn't like him which made him want to be the one to tease her yet she was not going to be the same person whom he had so long ago deceived.

"yeah but gun shot hurts more"

she reminded him of past with a smirk. She had pulled the trigger on him once she won't hesitate to do it again.

"I'll get shot any time if you're the one who's holding the gun"

wooyoung clearly flirted Infront of everyone jisung gagged at his bad attempt and chenle cursed in Chinese it was a blessing of God Haechan wasn't present. For he would've made it his personal mission to hack into his every device and expose everything to the world.

"those in favour with jaemin?"

Renjun asked as everyone raised their hand at once the unity never failed to surprise anyone and he shrugged at wooyoung who was baffled at the majority wanting him out.

"I'm afraid you're dismissed mr jung"

renjun stared at him getting up wrapping the meeting with the final verdict. As much as he had tried holding back he wouldn't want to handle the uproar of his own department just for person who he himself disliked.

"you sure mr park would like that attitude of yours?"

Wooyoung asked making renjun chuckle. It was not a genius move to threaten him when he was walking on eggshells.

"Seohyun shot you once and I won't hesitate either if you won't shut your god damn mouth and get the hell out"

he harshly replied not wanting to entertain him any further after his mischievous antics and degrading attitude.

"You're going to regret" he huffed as he stood up to leave the room.

"oh when i am done, you'll be rotting in a cell"
