A flabbergasted donghyuck stood with his hands banging the table lightly.
"So you are fucking telling me that you and renjun knew each other??? All along!??"
Haechan screeched at seohyun who was sitting the office sipping her coffee unfazed as there was no reason for her to hide a relation which never existed.
"To say we know each other might be a stretch, he was my senior hyuck and we rarely met"
If she was being honest she felt more closer to his lawyer best friend who took criminal law with her. Renjun back in the days was the same as he was now.

Chenle asked leaning over the table excited to have finally met someone who had known their Head of department long before he ever became what he is.

Another voice said aside from Seohyun giving them all a jump scare. Their words in sync like he had predicted what she was going to reply.

Renjun gave a side eye just upon entering the office as he caught everyone gossiping about his personal life.
"whatever" Seohyun mumbled under her breath knowing he still was the same Renjun who had stopped a killer with his bare hands, only difference was now he also carried a gun and a badge.
"anyways get back to work we have a killer to catch"

She shrugged looking at chenle who silently agreed nodding his head. Not opposing his order she was about to walk out, yet stopped suddenly turning around.
"Mr Huang, you ever totally thought that we were going the wrong way all along"
she said making him furrow his brows. It takes alot of guts to tell your boss that the investigation he started was in the wrong place from the beginning.

She explained making him scoff at himself, she was right and maybe all the heat of not being able to get ahold of criminal got to his head. Though some cases could be solved chasing the main leads, others required special tactics like reopening old cases and digging through some closed wounds.

Renjun asked the girl who gave a laugh, the others unsure wether he still suspected her involvement in this case, or was he really trying to funny.
"You sure you aren't the killer himself dangerous guy?"
It aggravated her to see him making a joke when he himself proved to be threat to people. The tension between remained until chenle huffed in annoyance
