I looked around for a jukebox and found something else. Something I didn't want Alaska to see...

"Actually you guys, let's go to Dairy Queen," I said trying to drag Alaska out of the diner as soon as possible. I quickly glanced over at her, Squints, and Yeah-Yeah. They were too busy chattering to notice what I had. But as soon as I opened my mouth Laska looked at me and said, "Why? We're already here."

"Because," I said, "I like Dairy Queen better."

"What are you talking about Chrissy? This is your favorite restaurant," Yeah-Yeah declared. Squints agreed with him and looked behind me. He saw what I didn't want Alaska to. His eyes widened and I shot him a look.

He got the message and quickly said, "Actually, I'm getting kinda tired of this place. Let's go,"

"No way, Chubby's has the best milkshakes in town," Yeah-Yeah argued and sat in a booth just feet away from the disaster.

Alaska followed him, but at the last moment looked up. I could basically hear her heart shatter. I ran over to her and took her hand. "We'll be back guys, we're going to the bathroom," I told the boys.

I dragged Laska by her wrist into the lady's room. I looked at her to see how she had reacted. Her eyes looked sad, but were blazing with anger as well. "You okay?" I asked her.

"Not even close," she replied, leaning onto the wall, closing her eyes.

"You needa cry?"

"I'm not crying over a stupid incident. At least not in public," she said brusquely.

"Hey," I continued. "I'm sorry, I didn't know they were ever a thing."

"It's okay. I just really thought Benny liked me back," she told me. She shrugged and forced a smile, then looked up at me, "I guess I was wrong, huh?"

"Do you just wanna leave?" I asked her.

"And do what?" she questioned.

"I don't know, we can have a sleepover and cry over boys," I suggested.

"Sounds great," she replied sincerely. "Let's go."

"Okay," I said and we walked over to the boys again.

"Laska and I are gonna go now," I told them.

"Why?" Yeah-Yeah asked.

"Girl stuff," she answered coldly.

He looked upset but said, "Okay, let's go Squints."

"Sure," Squints said, and I could tell he was trying to choke down a laugh.

We rode to our house because apparently Squints had decided to spend the night too. We walked into the house and Xavien was on the couch. When he saw Alaska, his face lit up like a Christmas tree.

"Hey doll," he greeted her.

"Hi," she said quickly and followed me up to my room. I looked back at my brothers and saw Yeah-Yeah giving him a death glare as he and Squints walked by. I laughed to myself and thought, ooh cat fight.

Alaska heard me and asked, "What?"

"Nothin'," I replied smiling. I plopped down on my bed and threw a pillow at her. I quit grinning and said, "Gee Laska, I'm sorry about Benny."

"It's fine. I just would've never thought Mercedes," she told me. (A/N ILY SADIES I JUST NEED DRAMA IN THIS BORING MUCK OF A STORY)

"If it makes you feel any better, Timmy has the hots for someone else too," I said, trying to keep my voice from cracking.

"What? Who?" she asked angrily.

"I don't know," I replied quietly.

"I can beat that little pipsqueak up for you," she offered, fuming.

"No it's okay, I still like him. A lot more actually," I told her.

She motioned for me to come closer and she whispered into my ear, "Xavien is really, really hot."

"Ewwwwww!" I exclaimed in disgust. After a few seconds I said, "I dare you to go down there and sit on his lap."

She hesitated, but regained her confidence. "Alright." She walked nonchalantly down the stairs and sat in Xavien's lap as if it were nothing.

Alaska's POV

I walked down the stairs and sat in Xavien's lap. I looked up the stairs at Chrissy and she had brought Yeah-Yeah and Squints out to watch as well. Squints stared at me in awe and Yeah-Yeah, well Yeah-Yeah looked like he was gonna explode.

Xavien looked at me curiously and I wrapped my arms around his neck. "Hey big boy," I flirted.

He blushed crazy red and I felt his lower region perk up.

"H-hi," he stuttered.

We talked for a couple of minutes, flirting back and forth and we were about to kiss until Yeah-Yeah shrieked, "No!" and ran down the stairs. He picked me up of his brother and Xavien said, "Hey punk, I was about to kiss her!"

Yeah-Yeah turned around for a split second and said, "That's rude mister!" He then ran up the stairs and into his room. He dropped me on the bottom bunk and closed the door. "You were about to kiss my brother," he stated the obvious.

"Yeah, I like your brother," I replied as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.

"Yeah yeah, I can tell."

"Yeah, so please let me back downstairs," I said.

"I don't want you to kiss him," he told me.

"Why not?"

"Because he brings home new girls every week. Even ask my sisters."

I looked down. "Oh. Th-thanks for telling me."

He opened the door and asked, "You know, I like this girl and she likes someone else. How do I get her to want me?"

"Be yourself," I told him and walked to Chrissy's room.
