We heard the door unlock and watched someone from inside turn the knob. We braced ourselves to hear Mrs. Timmons' high pitch screech.

But it wasn't Mrs. Timmons...at all.

It was Christian.

Her blue eyes widened and our jaws dropped. She slammed the door on is immediately and I started pounding on its old worn out wood. "Chrissy! Let us in man!" I shouted.

"Yeah yeah, c'mon sis!" Yeah-Yeah joined.

Christian's POV

I was just sitting in the Timmons' kitchen, talking to Tommy and we heard someone knocking on the door. I'd told Tommy I'd get it because, honestly, he's really boring.

When I answered the door, Squints and Yeah-Yeah were standing there. I slammed it shut before they could react too much, and they started pounding on it and yelling.

I ran back to the kitchen and sat at their round table. I rested my elbow on the top and my chin in my hand and pretended like nothing had happened.

Out of nowhere, Tommy stopped in the middle of whatever he was saying and asked, "Why are you here anyway?"

"Timmy asked me to come, he didn't tell you?"

He shook his head and looked confused, so I added, "I really don't know why, he's not even here."

"You know, Timmy is a big butthead, he won't even let me look at his baseball cards."

"When's your mom coming home?" I asked.

"I dunno, when's your mom coming to get you?" he responded.

I glared at him and said, "I told her that I was meeting Timmy to talk about baseball and she told me to call her when we were done."

He got up and paced around the kitchen aimlessly. "Tommy, you have real problems, you know that?" I told him. He didn't respond, so I kept quiet too. The back door opened and I jumped.

"Hey, what's wrong Chrissy?" Timmy's voice asked.

"Nothin', so what did you want to talk to me about?" I replied.

"Oh yeah, hold on," he said. "Tommy, why don't you go read some comics?"

"Okay," Tommy agreed and walked to the living room.

Timmy smiled and cocked his head towards the stairs. He lead me to his room and we sat in their beanbag chairs.

"So what'd you want to ask me?" I asked.

"Oh yeah. Um, I really, really, really love this girl and I want to know how girls think so I can get her," he answered sheepishly.

It felt like the world was crashing down on me. I never knew I like Timmy that much. I tried choking down the lump in my throat but I couldn't, so I stayed silent.

"Well?" he asked.

I shrugged and managed to just barely choke out a, "I gotta go." I rushed out his rooms and down the stairs. I sprinted out the door and retraced my steps to Alaska's house. I stopped abruptly in front of her porch and my eyes widened.

I couldn't believe who was there with Alaska...
