"Be yourself," I told Yeah-Yeah and walked to Chrissy's room. She was laying on her bed face down basically dying of laughter. Squints was laying on the floor cracking up so hard he was clutching his stomach. When they heard the door close behind me, they looked up and tried to choke down their laughter. "Haha, very funny guys," I said sarcastically.
Chrissy swallowed her last giggle and Squints let out one last howl. "Okay, okay. Sorry," she apologized, catching her breath. She pointed to the door and barked, "Squints, out. Now."
He stood up and ran down the hall to Yeah-Yeah's room.
"Xavien is in love with you," Chrissy taunted.
"I don't know..." I trailed off thinking about what Yeah-Yeah had said.
She looked at me like I had two heads. "What?"
"Yeah-Yeah said he brings home new girls every week..." I explained mumbling.
"Yeah, but...but I can tell he really truthfully, sincerely does like you," she argued.
"Why are sticking up for him?" I asked brusquely.
"He's my brother," she retorted.
"So is Yeah-Yeah, but I don't see you doing anything for him!" I exclaimed, leaving Chrissy speechless.
"That's another story," she told me solemnly. I knew better than to keep insisting. We were silent for a minute until I spoke up.
"Hey, I'm sorry Chrissy," I apologized.
"It's okay," she said, twirling around in her desk chair. She stopped dizzily and waited for her vision to refocus. "You see that hole over there? That tiny one?"
"Yeah," I answered hesitantly, looking back at it.
"Yeah-Yeah can see into my room," she told me.
"Really?"
"Yup, go over there, real slow and be quiet," Chrissy said. I did, and I saw him and Squints talking, siting on his bed.
"You just wait until later," she added, "they'll be peering in here."
"Okay?" I said uncertainly.

Yeah-Yeah's POV
_____________
Squints and I were sitting on my bed talking about Alaska. "C'mon Squints, help me get her to want me," I begged him.
"I already told you man," he insisted. "You gotta practice smiling."
"But I don't wanna," I whined. He had suggested that I practiced smiling "slow and hot." What does that even mean?
"You gotta do it man," he insisted as if he knew everything about women.
"Fine," I gave in and tried half smiling slowly. He criticized me a few times (a lot of times) until I got it "perfect."
I laid on my bed and repeatedly tossed a baseball in the air and catching it. "Have you seen her eyes? They're so pretty," I swooned, talking to Squints, but mostly to myself.
He gave me a weird look and said, "Yeah, she's hot and she can pitch better than De Nunez." He was sincere about that, but then added, "Maybe we should just tell her we've seen a Playboy magazine."
I shrugged, considering the idea. It almost always worked when we flirted with girls for fun. "I thought you liked Wendy," I said smirking at him.
"I do, but until I'm old enough for her to stop thinking of me as a kid, I can like other girls all I want," he told me. "Have you seen Alaska and Sadies and your sister? They're regulation hotties!"
It was my turn to give him a weird look. "Squints, I don't think Benny's gonna like you swoonin' over his girl," I teased.
"Fine, then I'll swoon over yours...oh wait! She's not yours! You have like zero chance with her; you're probably not even in the friend zone!" he retorted.
"Haha, nice one," I said sarcastically as I turned over to the hole in the wall. I peeked through it and saw my sister and Alaska talking and laughing. Man, 'Laska was real pretty. I continued to watch them until Squints pushed me off the bed and whispered, "My turn," and smirked. He probably perved over them for fifteen minutes until he turned back to me with a daydream look plastered on his face. "You think your sister'd go out with me?" he asked stupidly.
"No way," I replied. "I don't know who she likes, but I know it's not you."
"Hey!" he growled. I laughed at him and he pretended to cry, which caused us to crack up. He talked to me for a really long time about Wendy Peffercorn, but I wasn't paying any attention. I was fancying about Alaska. I snapped out of my trance when I heard him say, "All three of them are smoking. Sadies is really cool and she dyes her hair, so she's different. Christian's hair looks so soft and pretty and blonde. And Alaska has a nice ass. But they all have great faces."
"What did you say about her?" I asked angrily. "Nobody pervs over Alaska Adiego but me."
He looked at me like I was insane. "You're crazy man, out of your mind," he said. "Everyone pervs over them."
I gave him a confused look. He took off his glasses and cleaned the lenses, then put them back on. "You're just lucky Phillips hasn't seen her with us."
It hadn't occurred to me that Phillips would ever come by the sandlot again since two summers ago when he played him and his team and beat the crap outta them. I looked up at Squints again. He shrugged. "Why would you ever say that?" I asked him.
"Just think about it man. She's probably choose him over you any day," he said.
"Oh, gee, thanks," I said sarcastically, causing us to crack up again.
"You sounded just like Smalls!" Squints choked out between howls of laughter.

Chrissy's POV
___________
Alaska and I were talking about which boys were cute and which weren't. It wasn't my first choice to be a conversation topic, but I felt like I should tell her about our little neighborhood. We were just laughing and giggling, and honestly, I think I was starting to get over Timmy, but I remembered how much I liked him when we heard Squints and Yeah-Yeah erupt laughing. I don't know why that made me think of him, but it did. We decided to go to sleep a couple of minutes later. It felt forever, but my eyelids felt heavy and sleep finally took over.
