Natalie awakes with a groan as she stretches, her mind flooding with the day before, she needed a release.
She got dressed and went down to the dock and let the sound of nature soothe her, the way the water flipped over itself, then settled, the cycle repeating endlessly.
"Natalie." a voice calls, "Look, okay, I'm sorry!"
The other girl sits down, "Natalie?" she shakes the girl.
"What?" Natalie looks at the girl, "What are you doing out here?"
"I came looking for you."
"How'd you know I was out here?"
"Because you love to come out here, dipshit."
"Language." Natalie scolds.
"You're not Captain America."
Natalie looks over at the girl, "Finally someone gets that reference! God, how'd you get it?"
"Uh, MG, obviously." she jokes, "And c'mon it's Marvel, who doesn't watch it?"
Natalie laughs, "Hope."
"Fair, but that's Hope, not a comic geek's bestfriend."
"Are you referring to me or MG?" Natalie questions.
"Both." she smiles.
"Feeling slightly hurt by that." Natalie frowns jokingly.
"Hey! I called you my bestfriend isn't that a consolation?"
"No, it's not. My feelings are hurt." she jokes.
"Screw you and your feelings."
"You're mean, Penelope."
"Thank you, it's my specialty." Penelope smirks.
"No, that smirk on your face is your specialty." Natalie corrects.
