You're Mine

S2 Ch. 5- Fight

Hope's POV

We were packing up everything that we'll need for this little adventure. Keelin was getting ready to head to Mystic Falls since it'll probably be more safe there. Davina said she'd keep Keelin company. Kol, Rebekah and Freya were all standing in a line.

Ko: Darling, you mind telling us what this is all about?

Fr: I already know what it's about, she's protecting a certain someone.

Re: You must tell now.

H: Before I left I basically confessed my so called feelings. Everyone was surprised when I said I'd never hurt Josie so I left.

Re: More details please.

H: I left so I could keep her safe. I made my promise and I'm sticking to it.

Ko: So you've finally introduced her to the whole Elijah motto.

H: He was wise Kol. He kept trying to keep family safe, even Elena and her friends.

Ko: So you're keeping your word?

I nod and Rebekah smiles. I smile at her and went back to packing.

Re: Actually my dear niece, could we talk?

H: Yeah what's up?

Re: Alone perhaps.

H: Okay?

We walked away and went into a room. I closed the door and put a silencing spell on the room so Kol could keep his nosy self away.

Re: About this Josie person.

H: Mhm? What about her?

Re: Does she know our history?

H: I would say so, people at school gossip.

Re: They gossip about how your dad was this horrible guy. That's probably all she knows and since you're his daughter than she'll think you'll be just like him.

H: Then I'll show her that I'm not.

Re: Running was what your dad did when our dad kept coming after us. It made him paranoid. Don't run Hope.

H: I'm not running anymore. I'm fighting my battle.

Re: This was never your battle sweetheart. This is your fathers.

H: Well he's dead now and there's nobody else around that will do it. You guys are all off, living your life, getting married and traveling the world.

Re: What do you think will come out of this if you choose to fight?

I shrug and she crosses her arms.

Re: How do you really feel about her Hope?

H: Ever since I saw her, I felt like I had to protect her. I felt good and I forgot all the things kids were saying behind my back. Even if she doesn't want to be with me after everything I've done, I'll always protect her. It feels like this is my destiny.

She smiled and I raise my eyebrow.

Re: I can't believe you actually fell in love.

H: I didn't fall in love Auntie Bex. You're being delusional.

Re: How do you think Josie feels about you?

H: That I'm no good. I'm dangerous, I could hurt her.

Re: I don't think you would. Hope with what you told me, you would never hurt her, not intentionally anyway.

H: I hurt her multiple times. How can I be sure that I won't hurt her anymore?

Re: I say after this is all over, you march right into that school and say what you feel.
