S4 Ch7- Mystic Grill

Hope's POV

We finally got to the Mystic Grill. Once we got to our table, I let Josie sit down first then I sat next to her. Penelope sat next to me. Jed, Landon and Rafael all sat by each other.

Pe: So I say after this, we walk around and take a nice little shopping trip?

La: That's a perfect idea.

Rafael and Jed agreed. Only reason I didn't agree was because I didn't know if Josie was down to come along.

Je: So Hope and Josie, are you guys down or what?

H: Sure, shopping seems like fun. How about you Jo?

J: Can't, I promised Lizzie I'd hang out with her.

H: Maybe another time then?

J: Yeah, I'm sorry I can't come along.

La: Oh don't worry about it Jo. We all understand. Family first, right Hope?

H: Of course, family first.

Josie smiled and we ordered our drinks and food. Josie held my hand and I rubbed my thumb across hers.

Pe: Wait where's Raf?

La: He said he was using the bathroom.

Pe: Is he taking a shit or something?

H: He hasn't even been in there for a minute, give the guy a minute.

La: I'll actually go check on him. I'll be right back.

Landon got up and went into the bathroom. I took my hand away from Josie and placed it on her thigh. The waitress came back and handed us all of our food.

Landon's POV

I walked into the bathroom and saw a broken soap dispenser. I saw Raf on the floor and I walked over to him. He looked up and I smiled at him.

La: What's wrong buddy?

Ra: Hope actually got Josie.

La: I know but look on the bright side, you can officially have any other girl you want.

Ra: I wanted her Lan.

La: I know but sometimes it's best to move on. Then hopefully everything will go back to at least decently normal. You can't always go back to the past.

Ra: Why didn't she give me a shot?

La: Maybe because she thought your heart wasn't in it or Hope just beat you to the punchline. But don't dwell on Josie. You'll find the one eventually.

Ra: You really think so?

La: Oh brother, I know so.

Rafael smiled and I helped him stand up. He looked himself in the mirror and straightened himself up. After a while of talking to him, we walked back to the table.

H: There you guys are. I was about to send over Jed.

La: Oh don't worry about it. I see you guys ate without us.

Pe: You guys were taking to long.

Everyone laughed a little bit and Rafael and I sat back down. We quickly ate our food and then Penelope had said how she had to tell us all something.

La: So what exactly did you have to tell us?

Pe: I'm leaving the school.

H: Really?

Penelope nods and Hope frowned a little bit. Josie rested her hand on Hope's shoulder to probably comfort her.

Pe: I know it's very sudden and out of the blue but my mom thinks it's best to leave town for maybe a couple years. I'll be back for your guys graduation though.

Je: I can't believe you're really leaving.

Pe: Yeah me too. You guys will always be apart of my family.

Ra: When will you be leaving?

Pe: Around next month.

We all smiled and Hope hugged Pen.

Pe: Don't go soft on me Mikaelson.

H: Just accept the hug before you miss me beating you up while you're gone.

Pe: I don't think I'll miss that.

H: I guess we'll just have to find out.

We all laughed and then Hope paid the bill. Josie was the first one up. Hope followed along. Then we all stood up. Josie left the group to go back to the school.

La: So let's go on a shopping spree.

No One's POV

The whole group went shopping. They went to multiple shops. They were having fun. Josie on the other hand was hanging out with Lizzie. Lizzie was beyond excited to finally get time with Josie. They've both been busy with school.

Josie felt bad for leaving the group. She wanted to hang out with them but she also didn't want to lose her close bond with Lizzie. They didn't seem too upset about her ditching them so she went with Lizzie.

Now back to the group, they were having a blast. They even got ice cream and once they were all done, they went back to the school. They were happy with their purchases and once they got back it was close to bedtime.

Hope got Josie a nice little necklace and went to Josie's room. She knocked and Josie opened the door with Lizzie right behind Josie.

Josie's POV

I saw Hope standing there with a necklace in her hands. I smiled and Lizzie cleared her throat. She said something under her breath and then walked away.

H: I got this for you.

Hope handed me the necklace. I smiled and thanked her. Once I took the necklace, I let Hope come inside the room.

J: It's late, are you guys just coming back?

H: Yeah, we wanted to make today fun.

J: Well thank you for the necklace but you know you didn't have to get me anything.

H: I wanted to so it was my pleasure to get you that necklace.

Hope smiled and I smiled back at her. We sat down on my bed and Lizzie left the room.

H: Lizzie hates me.

J: No she doesn't.

H: She walks out of every room I'm in, I'm pretty sure she hates me.

J: I could talk to her.

H: No it's fine. I deserve the wrath of Elizabeth Saltzman.

Hope and I laughed a little bit and then things got quiet.

H: Tomorrow I'm thinking of hanging out with Lizzie to see if I can get her not to hate me so much.

J: Good luck with that.

H: Thanks I might need it.

I leaned my head on Hope's shoulder and she holds my hand. She even kisses the top of my head and then leans her head on mine.
