S6 Ch5- Phone Calls

Josie's POV

I call Hope and she immediately picks up.

H: Hey, how's the road trip?

J: It's good, Lizzie is probably grumpy about it.

H: I wouldn't think she'd be grumpy on a road trip to meet my family.

Hope had a jokingly tone in that sentence. I rolled my eyes and she laughed as if she could see me rolling my eyes.

H: You know I'm just messing.

J: Yeah I know. How is the school?

H: School is doing very well.

J: So no more monster or anything?

H: No more monsters.

J: How's Mg doing since Lizzie hasn't been on her phone for awhile.

H: He's holding up, he's worried of course but with Lizzie in your hands I'm sure she's safe as of right now.

J: Yeah, she's sleeping right now.

H: You should be too.

J: I wanted to talk to you.

H: I guess they were right when they said love conquers all.

J: I guess so. What are you doing?

H: Talking to the most beautiful girl in the world, how about you?

I smiled and looked up at the sky. It was a beautiful starry night.

J: Looking up at the sky.

H: Do you like looking at it?

J: Yeah it's beautiful and calming.

H: Hmm I'll keep that in mind love.

I looked down and looked back towards our hotel room.

H: Have you reached dangerous territory yet?

J: No and I'm hoping I never do.

H: Why's that?

J: Because I really don't want to be some vampires next meal.

H: None of them have daylight rings.

J: How do you know that?

H: Because I have all of the daylight rings with me right now. Mg is currently wearing one of them as of this moment.

J: Hope, that's actually disgusting.

H: It had to be done Jo.

J: I never said you were wrong for doing it. I'm sure you had your reasons.

H: I've had a lot of reason for why I did what I did in the past.

J: I kind of figured, nobody just gets the big bad wolfy bully card for nothing.

H: I don't want to talk about it. It's in the past and I'm working on bettering myself for you.

J: And that's all that matters. How will Freya react when she sees me again?

H: She'll be excited to have you around again.

J: You think so?

H: I know so. You've made me into a better person and gave me a second chance. They're happy to have you around. I mean, who wouldn't be happy to have you around. You're perfect.

I feel a slight blush creep onto the back of my neck. I smiled.

J: You're going to make me blush.

H: Wouldn't be the first time.

J: I love you.

H: I love you too, Always and Forever.

J: What does that mean?

H: I guess you'll just have to wait and find out.

J: You can't be serious.

H: I am very serious.

J: When will I find out?

H: When the time comes.

I heard a door open on Hope's side of the call. She says a quick goodbye and hangs up. I sigh and walk back to my hotel room, shoving my phone in my pocket.

Author's Note: It's short, I know but it's gonna have to do. I've been busy and during the summer it'll only get busier. Running a fan account, working and babysitting is all going to take up a lot of time. I'd hardly have free time unless I write when I'm sleep deprived. I'll figure something out.
