S7 Ch3- Relax

Josie's POV

We got back to the AirBnb, Lizzie and Mg went inside. I grabbed some bags and Hope grabs my wrist.

H: Hey, let's take a walk?

J: The bags Hope.

H: Mg will get them, I'm sure he's listening in right now.

J: Okay so what do we exactly need to talk about?

H: Your birthday is this weekend. We need to talk about that.

J: How do you kn- The file from the first day of school.

H: It had everything about you. So please let's go talk, in private for just a little while.

J: You keep making me think it's going to be a serious bad conversation.

H: It's not, I promise.

I put the bags down and give Hope a look. Hope let's go of my wrist. Mg vamps out of the AirBnb and grabs all the bags and vamps back inside.

H: Let's take that walk now?

J: Hope, whatever it is-

H: I'm not leaving you if that's what you're afraid of. I would love to be with you-

J: I sense a but coming in.

H: No but there is an and. Just come with me.

Hope holds out her hand and I take it. She smiles at me and we walk towards the beach.

Hope's POV

We finally got to the beach, everything that was set up was still there. I stop walking and made Josie stop walking.

J: Why'd we stop?

H: Turn around.

J: It's dark out, why would I-

H: Do you trust me?

J: Is that really a question you have to ask? Of course I trust you.

H: Then turn around.

Josie turned around and closed her eyes. I grabbed both of her hands and led her over to the spot that me and Mg had set up.

I led her to the nice little floating candles that are now lighting up. I smile and stop walking which made Josie bump into me.

J: Why'd we stop?

H: I'm going to let go of you, okay?

J: Hope, this isn't fair. You told me to close my eyes and now you're just going to leave me standing here.

H: You trust me, correct?

J: Yes I do but-

H: No buts.

J: Fine. So when can I open my eyes?

H: Just one more second.

I let go of Josie and Josie has a tight grip on my hands.

H: Josie.

J: I'm not letting go.

H: Please. You're safe, nobody can get you out here.

J: Fine but if anything bad happens-

H: Nothing bad will happen. I'll make sure of it.

Josie let's go of my hands and I back away. I can see Josie tense up. I bend down and grabbed the flowers that were on the blanket. I grabbed the little teddy bear and the box of chocolates.

H: Are you ready?

J: Another surprise?

H: I'm taking that as a yes, open your eyes Jo.
