We took out our weapons, with Arya and Amara holding bows and I drew my dagger-sword.

The MedusaHeadedSnakeDog thing rose, towering above us. Then it spoke, scaring the living snot out of me (again)!!!

"Who are you, and what are you doing IN MY DOMAIN??"

"We we-were ju-just p-passing th-th-through.." Amara stammered.

"Yeah," added Arya. "Just passing through. Code beige." She told us.

We all grinned and carefully walked around the MedusaHeadedSnakeDog to an open door behind her.

"Not so fast!" the MedusaHeadedSnakeDog said, blocking the door. "We haven't eaten yet!"

Her smile made me think otherwise.

"Um, we actually already ate and came out on this walk to digest..." I lied as convincingly as I could.

Arya looked like she was trying not to drool. She looked real hungry. She also looked like she was having a mental battle with her stomach.

The MedusaHeadedSnakeDog lunged towards us. Amara jumped to the right, and Arya and I rolled to the left.

It looked at Amara like she was its next meal. Amara let loose a flurry of arrows and they hit the dog and snake parts of the monster. The MedusaHeadedSnakeDog screeched, sending the room about 10 degrees colder, and glared at Amara.

"AMARA, LOOK OUT!!" we yelled too late. Amara looked right into the eyes of the MedusaHeadedSnakeDog. She didn't petrify, though. She froze in time.

The MedusaHeadedSnakeDog screeched again, sending icicles sprouting up from the ground.

"GET THEM!!" she roared furiously. The icicles soared towards us like they had a mind of their own. We dodged, ducked and shattered, but they increased speed and Arya and I were cornered.

"You'll never get out now!!" she crowed. "Kill."
