She stared at me in shock. "..Astra?"

I nodded tearfully. I hadn't seen her face-to-face in a couple of years. She opened her arms and I hugged her tightly.

"I know about the camp." my mom suddenly said. "Are you doing ok there?" I nodded.

"But how did you know? I thought you would have forgotten about me." I said, confused.

My mom sighed. "I am a legacy, but I can also see through the mist like you. I didn't think it would come to this, but I guess you're going on very important and dangerous quests now. My little girl is growing up so fast!" she said her eyes welling up as she smiled.

I hugged her one more time, and then I said, "Yes, mom. I have to go because the camp has to prepare for a giant battle. I might not make it, which is why I am here now."

My mom nodded in understanding, then gave me one last hug and said, "Your sister and brother are upstairs, sleeping. Stay safe." With that, she smiled and retreated into the darkness of the hallway.

I went upstairs, the smell of the familiar room filling my lungs. I saw my sister and brother sleeping contentedly. They looked so different now, from 3 years ago. My brother Zane would now be five years old, and my sister Yuka seven years old.

I wanted to wake them up, but I knew that I shouldn't worry them. Instead, I quietly gave them each a kiss on the forehead, then walked over to the window and opened it, preparing to jump out. The window wasn't that far from the ground so I knew that I wouldn't hurt myself.

"Astra?" I heard a voice come from behind me.

It was Yuka, sitting up in her bed and staring straight at me. I turned and gave her a small smile, then I hopped from the window and landed on the floor below.
