Everyone was at the campfire. I nervously sat next to Annabeth, and Percy sat on her other side. I had thought the dinner hall was loud, but this was even louder!

People were toasting marshmallows and chatting, until someone clapped loudly. "Time for the songs!!" Will Solace (I think it was him at least, Annabeth told me the names of a couple of people) shouted excitedly over the loud noise.

Everyone was singing, but I didn't, because:

1) I sucked at singing and had insecurities

2) I didn't even know the lyrics to the song they were singing.

Eventually, thank goodness, it was over and time to go to the cabins. Not much people noticed me, and the ones who did just smiled politely and said hi.

Annabeth and I said goodnight, and we headed to our respective cabins.
