Dahan-dahang kumilos si Gabriel pakanan. Hindi inalis ni Nieves ang kaniyang walang emosyong mga mata sa kaniyang kaharap.
Both walked in circle while maintaining the distance between them. Maging sa paghinga ay maingat sila. Pataas ng pataas ang tensiyon sa pagitan nila sa bawat segundong lumilipas.
Kasabay ng sigawan mula sa arena, sumugod ang dalawang binata sa isa‘t isa...
“WHOOOOO!”
Nagpalitan ng mga atake. Some were successfully blocked and dodged while some caused damages to each other.
Nieves were pinned to the wall, being overtaken by Gabriel in strength, but the former easily managed to overturn him to the wall. Nieves threw some punches right through his face and Gabriel threw his head forward, giving him a firm headbutt.
Napaatras si Nieves dahil sa bahagyang pagkahilo. Gabriel didn‘t waste time and rushed to him again with a fist which Nieves swiftly dodged. The latter quickly released a powerful blow in his back using his elbow.
It was a battle of strength, speed and wits.
It was a duel that will decide who will live and who will die.
Both of them knew, that a single mistake might get them a one-way ticket to hell.
Napaluhod si Gabriel. Ginamit niya ang pagkakataong ito na hugutin ang kaniyang baril at mabilis na itinutok kay Nieves kasabay ng paglingon niya.

Nieves swiftly dodged the bullet, shoving his arm as he pulls the trigger. As if the bullet was something frivolous to him, Nieves remained expressionless and Gabriel was quite taken aback.
Nag-agawan sila sa baril. Muling pumutok ito sa kisame. Parehong malakas ang dalwang binata kaya naman nahihirapan silang dalawa na tuluyang mapasakamay ang armas at hindi malabo na isa sa kanila ay tamaan ng bala nito.
Nieves then quickly disasembled the gun effortlessly. He grabbed the slide with the other hand and hammered it multiple times to Gabriel‘s head.
While Gabriel is in disarray, Nieves quickly turn him around and caught him in a chokehold. Gabriel struggled but he was rather out of strength.
“How about you? Why are you trying to protect Shadow?” Gabriel asked, trying to dupe Nieves for a little second.
Hindi nagsalita si Nieves. Inipon ni Gabriel ang natitirang lakas at sunud-sunod na siniko si Nieves sa tagiliran. Tiniis ito ni Nieves at mas lalong hinigpitan ang pagkakakulong niya kay Gabriel.
Halos malagutan na ng hininga si Gabriel. Hindi niya nais mang damay ng ibang tao na walang kasalanan sa kaniya sa mga plano niya ngunit kung mamamatay siya dito, hinding-hindi na niya magagawa ang dapat niyang gawin.
“Aaacckk...”
Hinugot ni Gabriel ang nakatagong patalim at marahas na isinaksak sa kaliwang braso ni Nieves, dahilan upang pakawalan siya ng huli.
