Beyond that Darkness has officially ended.
As BTD finally come to an end, let me share you a little story...
When I started writing Charlotte's story, I had one goal in mind: showing what healing looks like. You see, healing is not a straight road. It is a bumpy journey that undergoes different triggers and pain. Before starting her journey, I wrote this note: Writing your story is going to be complicated. I know I'll need to control my emotions to give justice to your story. But I think sharing it with the world will going to be harder. I am afraid that they'll judge her and see her vulnerability. Much more, I was worried that people might think her story is such as waste of time, and my writing might not express the emotions I want readers to feel. But then I remember my purpose in writing. I write stories to have an avenue to escape and vent my frustrations, fears, and happiness, not to please readers. My goal is to write a story that will help people heal because that was writing has done to me. But as I wrote her story, I didn't know that I would possibly experience the same pain as hers. The pain of losing someone you know. The pain of not knowing how to accept that death is inevitable. I experienced this in the middle of writing her story. So, I thought I would never know how to keep going and help Charlotte heal. I thought I would never find the will to give her a happy ending, but I did. I am not sure if I did her the justice and happiness she truly deserved. But she got the love and happiness she truly wanted. It was not an easy journey, but achieving the happiness that her heart truly wants is worth it. And I'll be honest that you gave me the courage to continue what I started. With this, I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I'm not yet fully healed, so let's hang on together.
Again, thank you for being with me to help Charlotte find her freedom. Also, if you're experiencing the same dilemma as Charlotte, I hope you can find your way out of the dark and see that beyond that darkness, there is light. I believe you can find your light. Thus, keep going. Keep going because now we'll start a new journey with another broken one.
