Years ago I never knew who they were,

Were they my family or impostures,

A man greets me at the door,

Short blond hair like my fathers,

His smile brightens up the room,

His name is Luke,

A Jedi knight,

Defeater of Lord Vader,

Behind him a woman,

Brown hair tied back into a bun,

Like my mothers,

Calm is she as she sits,

Her name is Leia,

A princess,

Protector of the galaxy,

Twins they are,

I back away,

I tell my name is Padme',

A senator and protector of my people,

A Jedi in training,

I tell them that I have no family,

I leave without a word,

Down the hall, I go,

Into my garden, I walk,

Flowers blooming ever so bright,

I sit alone with my thoughts,

I gaze past the Nabooian sun,

I see in the distance them,

People who are to be my family,

I want to walk away,

But the Force tells me not to,

I shall put away my fear,

Leia sits next to me,

Stories she tells,

Luke practices in the courtyard,

I walk near him and extend my hand,

His mind is quiet and calm,

He takes my hand,

I am no longer alone.
