"I'm just going to be gone for an hour at the most. I have to do some homework, but as soon as I'm done, we'll meet up at Grayson's cafe, okay?" I spoke into my phone, a smile on my face as I began to unlock my front door.
"Fine. I love you, be safe, okay?" He responded. I chuckled.
"I will if you will. I love you. Talk later." I smiled, hanging up and going to the kitchen where I saw my mom reading a book at the table. "Hey, where's Scar?" I asked, before shaking my head. "Actually I don't want to know." I chuckled, sitting at the table and doing some homework.
"She's going through that phase where she doesn't know what to do with her life so she's going to rebel." She explained. I chuckled. "You're going to go through it too in a couple of years." She added. I shrugged.
"Let's hope not that bad. Oh, also, can I go hang out with Indigo later, it's our anniversary." I smiled. She nodded.
"Congratulations." She chuckled, putting her book down and walking over to the fridge, and pulling a water bottle out of it. I looked down at my work, but the next thing I knew she was on the ground unconscious. I got her to the hospital and there she was diagnosed with cancer. It took less than an hour for Indigo to show up with a weary look on his face.
"Oh my God. Are you okay? Is she okay? Violet..." He sighed, pulling me into a hug.
"Indigo. She has cancer." I explained. He looked like he was about to collapse and I didn't blame him, ever since his mom left she'd been like a mother to him and it hurt him too. "I-I can't Indigo. I think... I think I need some time." I announced, looking up at him with tears falling from my eyes.
"What?" He asked. I shook my head.
"I need to devote all of my time to taking care of her. I don't have time to have a boyfriend right now. I love you so much, but I need to help her heal. I can't lose her, not after my dad." I cried. He nodded, pulling me into a hug.
"I understand. I love you, Vi. When you're ready, I'll be waiting for you." He sighed, kissing my forehead before leaving. A couple of days later, a guy who I'd only known for a couple of weeks, named Phil walked up to me and leaned on the wall in front of me.
"Hey, I heard you and Indigo broke up. If you need a shoulder to cry on. I'm here." He offered. I shook my head.
"I'm good, thank you." I refused, trying to walk around him, but he pushed me back and against the wall pressing his lips against mine. Quickly I pushed him off and slammed him against the wall. "Look I'm having a really bad week, so next time you touch me, you're losing your hands, got it?" I snapped. I even shocked myself, since normally I wasn't one to snap. It was like my entire personality changed over the course of a few days. He nodded, rushing off and I just went to my class. It turned out Indigo saw him kiss me and assumed he was dating me, so he went and slept with some girl, irritating me to the brim.
"What the Hell, Indigo?!" I asked, storming up to him. He gave me a bitter smirk.
"Oh, Hey Violet. How are you and what's his face?" He asked. I raised my eyebrow.
"Who? You mean Phil? The guy who forced himself on me?" I asked. He nodded.
"Yeah, just like that girl forced herself on me. Oh well, not like it matters right? We aren't together anymore, remember?" He retorted, bitterly. I shook my head.
"I can't believe you! You're such an asshole!" I hissed. He raised his eyebrow.
"And you're a selfish bitch, have a good life, Vi." He snapped, storming off.
